OMG! LOL I don't think DD weighed 20lbs until she was like 18mos! Haha I couldn't have carried it either!
Lucas is 24lbs!

I was hoping for an extra day with the twins- I was like come on, 2 babies, stay twice as long, right?? Nope. With the V delivery it feels like they are shoving you out the door. I delivered my second twin at 10:03 pm on a Monday and Wednesday morning they were like, Okay, get out!I'm just going to be prepared for that this time around but if I had the offer to stay a little bit longer, I might take them up on it.
I know this will sound awful, but I really like to get the visiting with people over with at the hospital. It's just so much easier on me to not have them in my house and feeling like I need to feed and entertain them. Plus, they don't feel inclined to stay as long at the hospital as they do at my house where it is nice and cozy. Again, I realize that sounds just awful but I like coming home and not having to worry about visitors in addition to dealing with a newborn.
Oh and Patsy, you're not alone, I also sent my kids to the nursery. I figured after all I went through with labor and delivery, I was going to at least get as much sleep as I could while I could. Come in and wake me when baby needs to nurse, that's fine, but otherwise, let me attempt to recuperate a little bit. I mean, isn't that what I'm there for?
I did too. My Aunt brought a homemade lasagna on discharge day and that was the extent of visitors I wanted. And only because she came bearing food!

Yay I'm glad this thread is picking up. We all seem to be bonding.
I have a really really weird question-- is anyone else having scent aversions? They're not quite making me puke anymore, but man... they're really getting to me. The laundry smell is one of my worst! Soaps and shampoos are a close second. I'm using unscented everything! I was like this in my first pregnancy too, and it took almost a year to go away. Then I found Lush, this company that makes the best smelling soaps and shampoo bars... now they make me sick! LOL. Am I the only one?
Me, too!!
It's so great to have this thread to talk to other people about pregnancy!
