Oh, hey, some good news-- sort of. I think we decided on a name: Ben (Benjamin.) This one was more DH's idea, but I'm kinda liking it, and it's better than what we had so far. I liked Nathan, but there already is one in the family. Booo.
I'm kinda thinking Joshua for the middle name, I liked the name Josh, but DH wasn't too keen on it. Haha, but I can't help but wonder if we should save the name "just in case we need it." LOL
Congrats on figuring out a possible name! Ben is a great name!

I had a VERY rude checker there the other day who told me I should have waited until I finished school to get pregnant (I look really young sometimes), couldn't use food stamps for my purchases, and had no business owning dogs (I bought the bulldog puppy a non-tipping water bowl). I told her (not that it's any of her business) that I'm 27, married, have a MA, have never used food stamps, and have happy, healthy dogs. Crazy rude people. LOL
Wow. Just.....wow.
Sooo...it has been an interesting weekend. Friday night I ended up with a sore throat which continued until yesterday but on Saturday I decided to go to our walk-in clinic just to make sure it wasn't strep, which it wasn't. Still hurt a lot thoughAnyway then I woke up yesterday morning with the sore throat still and a fever of 100.5, back pain, muscle aches and a general yucky feeling. So at this point I decided to have my OB paged because I know fevers aren't good for babies. I had to have him paged twice and the third time I called the answering service called his house while I was on the phone and patched us through that way. Well he told me to go up to L&D to figure out what was going on. I got to L&D at 11am, was hooked up to machines, admitted, and was checked and told I was still no more dilated than I was Friday (which I knew because I wasn't actually feeling any contractions). So they kept me on the monitors until my OB showed up at 3-ish. At which point he checked me and said that even though at this point I was having contractions I wasn't any more dilated or effaced.
then he told me that he still wanted me to stay until at least 6 just to see if I make any progress. So at that time I was allowed to eat and get out of bed. I didn't have to be constantly on the monitors. Except right before 6 when the nurse came in to check on my DD to make sure she was alright...then found out that I wasn't
My HR was at 130 bpm. It had been earlier but they just thought I was anxious about feeling sick and feeling the contractions. So then they drew blood, did an EKG, and put in an IV. Well, I ended up spending the night in the hospital in order to get 3L of fluids to bring down my HR. I'm home for now because I still hadn't dilated any and I'm a little anemic and the contractions had stopped around 2 am but have picked back up so hopefully next time I get on here...I'll have my baby girl!

I hope you feel better very soon, and have your little girl in your arms before you know it!
