Good Morning!

I don't know what is going on, but I have been having the worst morning sickness - all day and all night.

It has been crazy! My toothbrush has become my enemy! Crackers don't help! My OB told me to take giner 3xday and vitamin b-6. It seems to be helping when I can stomach the pills.

Anybody else?

I am so sorry that the m/s is so bad. I really haven't had any, just a little nausea here and there. Mostly I am so exhausted I feel like I could sleep forever! And my tatas hurt and my sense of smell is crazy! I did have some slight cramping yesterday but honestly I think it was from constipation. So I am much better today. I have my u/s on Tuesday afternoon and am starting to get nervous. I found out at my first u/s last time (in Sept) that our baby had not developed past 6w3d (I should have been 8w2d). Tuesday will be 6w5d for us. Hoping to see or hear a heartbeat just to ease our fears.

I didn't have it too bad with this pregnancy, but with my first it was awful. Everyone is different, and what worked for me , may not be your problem, but I will tell you what helps me. I realized at some point that when I'm pregnant, my body signals are all messed up. My body is sending me signals of what my baby needs, not just what I need anymore. Like, before, being constipated meant i needed more fiber in my diet - now it means, baby isn't getting enough water during the day. Before pregnancy, with nausea and vomiting it meant that I shouldn't eat food - I either had eaten too much or had a virus I needed to get rid of. With pregnancy, I found it means baby NEEDS food. It is hard to break through years of conditioning that nausea = no food. Once I'm already sick, it's too late - Then I can't keep food down. But I found that if I just kept eating small things to ward off sickness that it kept it at bay. Now when I start feeling a little sick, I realize that I need to eat something quick BEFORE the sickness comes on. I always kept crackers by my bed. If I tried to get up and go to the kitchen to eat something - it was already too late. If I woke during the night, I ate a cracker or 2 before going back to sleep. As soon as I woke up, I ate a couple of cracker and stayed in bed for a few minutes before getting up. Just keeping a steady steam of small snacks in me helped tremendously.

Now I'm on my 5th pregnancy and I think that not only has my body adjusted to the hormone changes, but I have adjusted to the signals my body sends during pregnancy. When I started feeling a little queezy during the first few months, I knew I hadn't eaten enough and would quick grab a small snack before sickness came on. Now during pregnancy, I equate nausea with hunger.

Anyway, hope that helps you - I know what you mean about the toothbrush being your enemy, just the smell of toothpaste or hair conditioner or anything used to get me so sick. It will pass.

Hello all!

Snow: Sorry to hear about the MS. I would usually get a 'witching hour' in the afternoons starting about 4:30. I had a prescription for Zofran which helped a lot. I also made a point to eat frequently and eat fairly bland foods. Fruit, buts, cheese blocks seemed to help me the most.

I had a fun weekend visiting my parents. We went to several of their local consignment shops and I most likely picked out too many cute clothing items. We also found a nice activity mat, some board books, and clutching toys. We were just looking now, but do not really want to get any larger items until after the shower.

DH and I also settled and chose Daycare #1 that we had seen before. Going earlier in the day we saw a bit more activity than we had seen before. More playing with blocks, one class painting, and we asked some more in depth questions. I feel comfortable with our choice. A good friend of mine who just moved to the area enrolled her 3 yr old a couple days ago and says she loves the place.

Other than that DH has been trying his best to feel the baby but she is not cooperative. We joke about the magic hand of Daddy. She can me moving up a storm, we can see my tummy move. But the second he gets his hand on there she comes to dead stop and doesn't move. The magic hand of Daddy always makes her calm down.... I have told him that he needs to remember *that* handy little trick after she is born. He is downright determined to feel her kick at some point though. :rotfl2:

Hi guys, just checking in. It has been a long time for me!

I had my big ultrasound a couple weeks ago and there is just ONE baby and I am measuring the right size now. We did not find out the sex of the baby and we are so happy that we didn't. It is so fun keeping it a surprise! I am feeling pretty good and just progressing pretty well. I go next week for the glucola test. So much fun.... We have had some remodeling done in our house that is still not finished and I am just a little annoyed with that but everything else is good!

Congrats to all new mommies and expecting mommies!

Thanks so much for this! It is VERY helpful! I totally get it! I'm finding that if I have a heavy meal of any sort I don't feel very well afterwards. Also getting hit with tiredness which sux at work!;)

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that I had little Zoe last Wednesday on February 9, and she is the best baby ever:love: She arrived at 7:41pm, weighing 8 lbs 8 ozs and measuring 21 inches long.

I was scheduled for an ultrasound last Wednesday, and the doctor who looked at the ultrasound felt that I didn't have very much amniotic fluid so I had to go over to the hospital for a non-stress and stress test. The non-stress test was OK, but as soon as they hooked me up to the Pitocin (at the very lowest dose possible) Zoe's heart rate dropped a lot with the first very minor contraction. My DH, mom, and I talked about the results with our midwife and an OB at the hospital and decided that a C-section would be the best. They were willing to induce me, but both the midwife and the doctor thought there was a greater that 50% chance I'd need a C-section anyway, so I figured I just skip all the labor pain and go right to the surgery.

The surgery went really easy, and my DH was able to be with me and got to hold Zoe while they stitched me back up. It was so exciting when the doctor told us we had a little girl:woohoo:

I'm hoping to get my pictures dowloaded from my camera tomorrow, so I will try to post some pictures of her. I have to say that I think she is the prettiest baby ever! My Dh is the best dad and is so sad that he has to go back to work tomorrow. He's the official poopy diaper changer, so I don't know what I'm going to do without him :rotfl:

I hope everyone else is doing well, and I know that once your little babies arrive, you will love them just as much as I do mine. Being a mom is pretty fun right now.

lspst8...Congratulations!! I figured your absence from this thread meant you had that baby! Can't wait to see pics. :goodvibes

Hello! I hope all is still going well with your pregnancy!

Well, I had my ultrasound on Tuesday at 6w6d and all went great! We saw the heartbeat fluttering at 120bpm! I was so relieved b/c our firstu/s last time was when we found out our baby wasn't developing and there was no hb. The whole thing this time was rather amazing! We aren't out of the woods yet, but my DH posted the photo and the video on FB right after the appt so basically he forced my hand and we had to announce! Grrr! I'm not gonna hold it against hinm though b/c he is so bad at keeping secrets and he did better than last time, when he announced as soon as I got a positive test!

We go back in a little less than 3 weeks (when I am 10 weeks) for another u/s, my nurse history, and my first official OB appt. YAH!

That's fantastic news!:goodvibes Congratulations!

I'm doing well thanks! I'm going for my heart beat(s) ultrasound tomorrow and I am looking foward to that just to get some more reassurance that all is ok ya know. :goodvibes I'm so happy for you & your DH that your ultrasound went well! Mike is terrible for keeping a secret as well:lovestruc I had to tell him last weekend that to many people knew already and we need to be cautious. I'm thankful for him though! He keeps me positive and excited instead of scared and neurotic!:crazy2: I'm 7 weeks (is it terrible to say "I think"?) as of today. :goodvibes

Awesome on the u/s tomorrow!! I will keep my fingers crossed (KMFX) for you! Please let us know how it goes!

I think it is totally normally to not know exactly how far along you are. I used Ovulation Predictor Kits, also took my basal temp every morning, and used FertilityFriend.com so I knew the exact day I ovulated. Thats really the only reason I know how far along I am.

BTW, I am so envious of your twins!! :)

Thank you! OMG I totally just saw your U/S picture! It is SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! I carry around 2 in my purse with prayer cards and holy medals in a zip lock! I always want the pictures with me. :goodvibes

So I'm sitten here eating my saltine minis hoping that my pukieness will pass soon. Its not terrible just there ya KWIM?

Anyone know is it possible to start getting a tummy at 7 weeks? I mean I said to Mike last night that it was impossible but then we went to the bathroom and looked and it kinda made me think a little, that being said, I'm Irish, I have a GREAT IMAGINATION! I could be seein t'ings and I fully accept that:goodvibes

OK back to the saltines. . . I'm going with the theory from talulabelle to eat when pukie. . . easier said than done sisters!

Congrats lspst8!! Love the name! Can't wait to see the pics!

Ariel - congrats on the heartbeat! Exciting!

E- I hope my theory works for you - I know it does for me - but I know a lot of women have the MS way worse than I ever did. After 3 months it really does get better.

Thank you so much! I always have mine with me on my phone and a video of the fluttering heartbeat, as well.

I have been lucky, no m/s for me. Just major exhaustion and major sense of smell. I am a teacher and a girl in my class is eating hot cheetos for snack and I can smell them so much they are making my eyes water!

I think my belly def looks bigger too, but from what I hear, it is bloating. And I know I am bloated b/c I am having trouble getting my rings off now. I am having to use dish soap to coax them off!

I think the eating when sick thing, is probably great advice! I have crackers but don't ever need them!
