So how many of you with other children went early for your first pregnancy? or late?

I'd love to be early as long as Lily is heathly so that DH would have more time with us before he starts school in the fall...I'm so lucky that I'll have him home with us fulltime for at least a month either way.

Madeline came 10 days early and I have a feeling this one is coming early. (which I wouldn't be too unhappy with since it will be full on summer around here!)

Patsy-I scrapbook so I made my own book for Madeline. And I plan on of course making one for this little one. Of course it can get pricey but it can also be pretty thrift, depending on which scrapbook you use and the stickers and paper, etc. But its a lot of fun because it fits your own personality.

I really like the ones at Hallmark, only problem is they are around $40.00 What I like is they are the 3 ring type so if you don't use a section you can take it out. Plus there are pages for pictures and such.

I scrapbook, too, but I'm slow! I haven't finished one all the way through . I'm excited, though- new house has a little area in the hallway that I told DH I plan to use to get my stuff organized and finish what I've got.

I never thought about making my own. By the time I got it done, everything would have happened!
I'll have to think about that, though.

I did get a photo box and scrapbooking stickers to decorate it for "baby Keepsakes"

I love to read and haven't read any pregnancy books. Kinda late now.
I wish I would have but there was just too much going on. I utilized the internet while I worked on homework.

Hey all! I thought I would join in on this discussion, since I a currently expecting. I am 5 weeks 1 day today (according to my calculations......I go in for my first doctors appointment next Thursday). This will make baby number 3 for me. My son son is 10 and my daughter is 5.
This baby is due December 15......My daughter's b-day is January 20, mine is Feb 3, and my sons is Feb 28. Throw in Christmas, new years, and valentines and we got a busy 3 months!
I hope to get to know everyone over the course of my pregnancy. Even though it's my third baby, I've been reading pregnancy websites like crazy!

Sarah, my DS came one day early. I went to my O/B on Thursday 3pm, and she stripped my membranes to move me along. They also told me not to work anymore at this appointment. Friday morning I got out of bed around 8:30 and my water broke.

Congrats Maggie on having a boy! Just remember the extra diaper at changing time to avoid "showers"!

My 2 older kids were both exactly 3 weeks early, my water broke both times. I always wondered if my uterus has a timer set to 37 weeks! Worked out great for me, early but not too early!

Hey... anyone come across a really good baby book? I've looked through the ones at WalMart, KMart, etc. but can't really decide.

I want something to document first word, first tooth, etc.
Just wondering if anyone has seen any cute ones for little boys.

He's putting together Landon's plane right now and he is not happy.... he's grumbling that I spent $400 bucks on a trike he can't use for over a year. Oh well, I LOVE it!!!

I don't think it's too early. I think I should have looked sooner (but part of me thought I might have gotten one as a gift, so I waited) but better late than never.

I should post photos of him putting it together... he's practically wrestling with it and muttering about the person who designed it I asked him if he wanted me to do it or help and he said no of course. He is an engineer... I didn't think it would be so hard-his excuse is "poor directions".

Dh isn't allowed to put things together (or paint!). That job always falls to me.

Ds11 was born on his due date. Dd9 was born one day early. She was supposed to be induced that day, but I went in that morning on my own. I wouldn't mind this one being a few weeks early-I'm tired! Any day in May is fine with me-state tests will be over with then and I won't feel guilty about not being in the classroom.

DH is the worst painter ever. We painted our master bedroom and I swear I had to re paint everything he did, there were so many spots. You'd think men would be good at this kind of stuff.

Oh, DH isn't allowed to touch a paint brush either.

He leaves drips and streaks, etc.

He can't assemble, either. I take the tricky stuff (or the stuff I can't do pregnant) to my dad who is an engineer and can figure it out w/o directions, usually. His mind is backwards.

Okay, question. I wish I would have asked sooner.

For days I've been getting bouts of pain on my left side in my back (around the area where you can feel that bone above your bum). It's tolerable, but unpleasant, and if I try to stand up when they hit I feel like I'm going to pass out or get sick. I have a very high pain tolerance, so it could be worse than I think it is. It's happening more frequently and water isn't getting rid of it like it used to.

Also, when I sit down I have noticed the past few days that on my right side exactly below my b00b (hehe) it feels like there is a ton of pressure, like there is something stuck there.
At first I thought it was a foot and when I mentioned it to DH tonight he said he didn't think his foot could get that high. I realized he's probably right, I was just assuming.

So now I'm wondering if my gallbladder is just really, really swollen and that is what I'm feeling the pressure/pain/weird feeling from.

So.. can their feet get that high? I mean, this is RIGHT below my chest.. maybe two finger widths of a distance down.

I called my OB's office today because I've been having a lot of pain and the Tylenol 3 isn't getting rid of it anymore. They told me to take heartburn medicine and call them back to see how it helped.. it hasn't. So now I'm worried that I'm having gallbladder issues and going to need hospitalization like the surgeon said. Eek!

Uggg, so he put it together wrong and just left it in the floor. I am so mad that he can't spend an hour putting together something for his son! Just because he thinks its unimportant he doesn't feel like taking it apart and figuring out what he did wrong. I bet I can figure it out tomorrow.
