Patsy, good luck tomorrow! I hope everything goes fast for you, and you are holding your precious little one early in the day!pixiedust:

When I had James in December I brought sooo much stuff to the hospital. I thought I was going to need so much stuff. Turns out I used almost nothing and then I wished I hadn't brought so much since we had to lug it all home. And you get so much stuff from the hospital it ends up taking up a bunch of room! This time I'm, just bringing my camera, my make up/ toiletries, and some extra socks!

Me too!! I brought shower stuff, clothes to wear home, socks, and clothes for dh.. oh, and a camera. And hats.. for the babies. For them I had 2 outfits each.. I think that was it.

Patsy- Im not sure why the rhogam is given in the butt (to be specific i think its a little higher than the butt but im not sure. I know they divide one bum cheek into 1/3 or 1/4 and thats how they determine the place to give it. ) Ive never heard of anyone getting it in the shoulder-- but that would be great! lol

Good luck tomorrow! You wont need it though! Your a strong one! Please inform of his healthy arrival when you feel up to it!:goodvibes

Patsy, sending good luck for tomorrow. Enjoy meeting your little man for the first time and remember it is all worth it!

Thanks everybody! :goodvibes
It still hasn't sunk in yet!

It's been a CRAZY night here. I made sweet and sour chicken for dinner, DH came home with The Sims 3 for me (uh oh... I got totally addicted to Sims 2!)... then as we sat down to eat, it started to HAIL.. huge things of hail. Not big enough to dent a car but still huge.
So the electricity goes out and it gets really quiet and we hear this strange music and all of a sudden THE ICE CREAM MAN COMES DRIVING DOWN THE STREET!? :rotfl::rotfl:
DH and I only had quarters from the hospital bag but he ran and stopped him and I had an M&M bar and DH had a chocolate eclair. This is definitely a night we'll remember. We taped some of the hail storm. :thumbsup2

I don't know, but I'm really glad too! :scared1: I really, really don't like people around my butt. DH thought I was so weird when he met me, I have butt issues...

Thanks!! I'm ready for him. I might end up taking my laptop with me now that DH got me this game.. so if they've got WiFi, you might hear from me sooner!! :woohoo:

Hi everyone,
Well after having dinner at my dad's DH and I went to bed. About 10 minutes later my water broke. We got to the hospital at 12am with contractions 4 apart and the baby was born today at 130. :goodvibes

Cameron is 7lb 15oz and 20 1/2 inches long

I was in labor from 12am until 130pm. I didn't want drugs so we went without until 11 where I couldn't take the pain anymore. We labored in the shower, on a birth ball, on the bed in 50 different positions. When the dr came to do the epidural my contractions were 30 seconds apart. It was so hard to hold still. Luckily our nurse was a Lamaze teacher so she really helped me focus and breathe through the worst of it. After the epidural kicked in I got to nap for about an hour.

At 115 the doctor came to check me. She was on her way to a c-section (3 on the floor today) and said I was 10 and complete. I was so surprised! I thought there was no way I went from 5 to 10 in under 3 hours. She asked me to give her a sample push to see if she should go to the C but I ended up pushing Cam out in 10 minutes. I am so relieved it's over. I will post a picture in the upcoming days. He's just perfect, and looks just like his big brother. :cloud9: We are totally in love.

Good luck Patsy with tomorrow.

Congrats ShootingStar and welcome baby Cameron! Sounds like you had a pretty nice labor.

Good luck tomorrow Piecey! Your hospital bag sounds way more complete than anything I brought either time, so I would say you are set to go.

Congrats to ShootingStarMom!!! Welcome baby Cameron!

Patsy-Good luck tomorrow! (My 11 y.o. is already begging for Sims 3, so you ARE a lucky gal!) Can't wait to hear all about Lucas!

Congrats Shooting Star!!

Good Luck Patsy ... don't forget to get your Rhogam shot before you leave the hospital too! I had it in the butt. I even had to have one a few months ago for that early miscarriage. I was only 4w3d pregnant but they gave it to me as a precation!! Can't wait to see pics and now I might have to sneak out and get Sims3. Like I have time to play with all this moving and packing!

Congats ShootingStar! Im amazed that you are already posting! You must feel pretty decent! I hope my labor goes like that! Congrats! Im sure he's precious!

Is any of the other moms to be having problems with heartburn? I am taking Zantac 2 times a day but recently my heartburn has gotten worse...no matter what I try to eat. I am so miserable and still have a little over 3 months left...:sad1:. I took 3 Zantacs today but I am worried that it may be to much but the pain is awful.

ShootingStar- :yay: Congrats!!! Glad to hear everything is okay with you and your baby boy Cameron!!!!

I've been miserable with heartburn for awhile now. I've taken Zantac in previous pregnancies and it helped, but really not that much more than taking Tums or just riding it out which is what I've been doing so far for this pregnancy. I'm almost 32 weeks now and this has been going on for several weeks now. At least the Tums gives me calcium. I would say to talk to your Dr. if you are worried about too many Zantac. I just wanted you to know you weren't the only one suffering.

Oh goodness yes...that is my biggest complaint (other than exhaustion) of this pregnancy. My doctor has me on prescription Nexium and Zantac (300mg) and all the Tums I need....it still is there. I have been dealing with this for the last 2-3 months...with 30 days or so left to go. It is worse if I lay on my right side....and not too bad if I lay on my left. I wish I had a magic answer...but I am finding eating small amounts of food seems to help...which is why I think I have lost 4 pounds in the last 6 weeks...I am so tired of the indigestion and reflux...

Good luck, but tell your doctor...they may give you a prescription to try to help.

Michelle

How many of the zantacs do you take a day? Mine are 150 mg, I just took 1 about 45 mins ago...no relief yet. I am searching my med cabinets for Tums...can't find the darn things anywhere...trying not to panic...LOL
I actually sleep on my right side, i get relief somewhat....

One more question for everyone...I don't remember this with last pregnancy...but does anyone get a sharp pain behind their belly button....it is so annoying and only does it when sitting up.

Thanks so much ladies!! He really is an awesome baby. Soooo calm and happy. He's got a smile for everyone!

Scornelius, Dawson is soooo cute. Congrats!! And jeez, 10 lbs!!! no wonder you ended up going c-section. Big baby. :goodvibes

How are you recovering?

I'm doing really well now! The first week was rough, the second was still a bit painful, but after that I was pretty darned good. Dawson was born on a Tuesday, we went home on the friday, and DH was back at work on Monday, so I needed to be able to take care of him myself by then.

We've done really well with breastfeeding. His blood sugar was super low when he was born, and I didn't get to see/hold him for 9 hours :( so that started us on the wrong foot. They pumped him full of formula when he was only half and hour old! Then I retained some placenta, I have PCOS, he had a tongue tie, my milk didn't come in for over a week.... it was really hard. But we've persevered, I bought a pump, took tons of milk-boosters, (28 pills a day!!), made lactation cookies... the list goes on and on! I'm still having supply issues, but yesterday he only needed 1 bottle of formula! I'm so proud! Normally he takes 2 or 3. I'm still working towards EBF.
