Sarah - I don't really have great advice for you but since I have been pregnant one of my friends has been trying to get pregnant. She had a miscarriage in December and one just a couple of weeks again. Both times though were around 5 weeks. I really didn't know what to say to her. The biggest thing with her is she didn't want to talk about it. The second MC was 2 weeks ago and she came to my shower on Saturday. Everyone is different though. I know with my friend she didn't want to make things weirder. She's just trying to stay Strong.

Thanks! I really think she will put on a brave face and act like she's totally fine and looking forward to trying again--just very positive--it's how she's been for the last 2 weeks. I just don't want to do anything to add to her discomfort and grief especially because I know she would never let on that I was bothering her.

And our shower is next month--I'm sitting on her (and her parents and in laws) invitations...I'll mail the parents out, I was just going to give them to her to distribute...but I don't want to send hers now...

Yes, it puts in on both. It's only visible to your friends though...if you have your settings set that way...

I won $500 tonight!

The banquet was really nice. There were 24 kids and their parents (10 from my school, 10 from a neighboring school, and 4 from the private school in the next county who live in my town), plus me and a teacher from the other public school, and local dignitaries from the community. The kids and teachers always get a nice plaque, and that is all I was expecting. Then some scholarships are given out. Well, this one really eccentric old guy gave his company's scholarship by drawing a name from a bowl!!!!! Then he starts talking about how teachers don't make enough and how much we do, and says he is going to flip a coin to see which of us gets $500!!!!! So we both go up front, he asks us to call it, the other lady won't open her mouth so I say heads, and I won! It was really weird, but I'm happy with my money! When I got home, dh asked me if I wanted to go to the casino this weekend. I NEVER win anything!

I am sooooo tired,but it was a great night!


****I just checked my grades, and I have an A in the class!!!!!!! Now if only the dr. tells me I'm at 4 or more cm when I go back Thu, and he wants to induce Friday, it will be a great week! I needed a day like today!

This little boy is going to come early, I just know it! Hopefully not too early though. I have started having frequent BH contractions again and there's a lot of pressure and "achiness" of certain bones "down below".

I have a feeling I'm in for it... I've had no braxton hicks, not a one. Pretty much no pain, unless he's laying weird and then I just try to massage him into a better position and he usually goes for it. This has all been entirely too easy and I fear for when I go into labor. I might beg her to let me pick a date for induction even if she decides she doesn't want to.. just so I can mentally prepare myself for what I'm getting into...

I dont blame you about not wanting to read my TR. LOL. It was good, and the photos were better... but... this being a public board I didnt trust them on there for an extensive amount of time. Esp. after some crazy drama went down over there (who would have thought that a bunch of smiley face wearing brides would bring in drama--lol). I left that board-- i spent my days in hs..lol!

I'll read it, I'd just love some pictures! Are you going to put any on Facebook? We could be Facebook friends and then I could flip back and forth and get my visual fix, too!

I did get one piece of really bad news though, my friend did miscarry. She started bleeding heavily over the weekend. She's taking it really well and they've already had some time to come to grips with this reality, but I just don't know what to do. I'm inviting both of their parents to my showers and it feels sooo weird now. I hate the thought of them shopping for me when they should be shopping for her too.

And I'm just not sure how to handle the whole situation. I want to send her flowers, but with mother's day coming up that's even weird. Plus I really feel like the last person she would want to be around. SO if any of you has any advice, I'd love to hear it!

I sent DH to the hospital (she was admitted to run tests, which I don't think is normal) with flowers- but I didn't want to go "flaunting" my belly around. I tred lightly around her for awhile, trying not to talk too much baby around her but let her casually start bringing things up. She came to my baby shower, but admitted she didn't shop for it- BIL did.
I'm really sorry for your friend, that stinks. They were the ones that were trying, right? It makes me so sad that so many people get pregnant easy, or accidentally, and so many others go through sooo much to get there.

Hi,
Well, we had a very unexpected dr visit today. They took my BP and it was 143/80. The nurse didn't say anything and the dr came like usual. He looked at the chart and said everything looked fine except BP. So, he decided to do a non-stress test just to make sure DS was doing ok.

We had to do that for 30 minutes and then dr came in and said he looked like a textbook NST baby and we could go. DS had the hiccups for the first 10 minutes of the test so clicking the button got tiring! Now we have an ultrasound on Monday just to be sure the fluid and baby look good and do another NST for every week I remain pg. While I'm happy to get to see DS again, and I get to double check that he's really a he, I'm a little worried about what's going on in there. A little baby pixiedust and thoughts would be appreciated. I hope he keeps growing away!

I'm sorry to hear this. I can't imagine going through the happiest time of your life knowing a friend is going through the saddest. I felt similar when my friend and co-worker was trying to get pregnant. We got pg around the same time and she still hasn't been able to. I never knew what to say and seeing me everyday across the desk probably didn't help. I talked to her about it only when she brought it up. Hopefully things will get better for your friend soon.

It's a $2 off 2 Purell Products, doesn't specify size. I used it at KMart last time around to get 2 Trial Size ones (priced at $1.49 each) so they were free. They might be free somewhere else, too, because KMart is overpriced on some stuff.

We had to do that for 30 minutes and then dr came in and said he looked like a textbook NST baby and we could go. DS had the hiccups for the first 10 minutes of the test so clicking the button got tiring! Now we have an ultrasound on Monday just to be sure the fluid and baby look good and do another NST for every week I remain pg. While I'm happy to get to see DS again, and I get to double check that he's really a he, I'm a little worried about what's going on in there. I have had the same problem with Bricks so I have had to print the coupons from the other sites I use-coupons.com and fullcup.com.

Sarah-I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Sorry I can't offer any advice but everyone is different on how they deal with situations. You might just want to mail her a card just to let her know you are there for her (even though I am sure she knows that but it would probably mean a lot to her). That way she can call you when she is ready to talk about it.

Oh, you are going to have your baby soon. As far as the epi goes, tell you nurse your fears. Maybe they will give it to you sooner so you won't get to far gone to fast.

Thanks for all the congrats! It was a really great day yesterday. Today was just long. My hips and thighs are aching so bad, and the baby feels so low. We had a meeting after work for over an hour, then I stayed and worked on my room. I got all my exams made out and gave them to a teacher across the hall in case I'm not back (wishful thinking I know). I only have about half my room packed up, but I don't want to be too obvious yet! And I really don't know where I'll put all my classroom stuff-I've been teaching for 12 yrs so I have quite a few boxes to move! I guess after I'm approved at the board meeting next week, I'll call the school and see if they can store my stuff somewhere over the summer.

And I don't have lesson plans. I made out plans for tomorrow, and Friday if I'm not there the sub will only have 2 classes (we have awards day in the morning, and a powderpuff football game that afternoon). But if I'm not back next week, I have no plans to leave a sub! There is just too much to do, and every time I finish one thing I think of 3 more!

So I honestly can't imagine my hips hurting even worse than they do now. I have been in so much pain ALL day, from the time I got out of bed. My right hip is just killing me! I was limping around at work all day like I was crippled or something and everyone kept asking me if I was okay. It was so embarassing. I finally came home and took some tylenol and now I have a cold pack propped against my hip hoping it'll ease some of the ache. If it's this bad now, I can't imagine how much it'll hurt in the next couple months
