Well, its 90 minutes until the round 2 deadline for submitting your entries. I thought I'd start a thread to share answers. Possibly critique them, or just a good read.
Here are my answers:
1. In 100 words or less, please tell us what family and/or cultural milestones/special moments have you celebrated at Walt Disney World?
At Pixie Hollow last May, Tinkerbell asked my twin girls (then 5) where Mommy was. They replied Mommy was up in Heaven. Tinkerbell, to her credit, said "Well you give me hugs, and I'll fly up to heaven and give them to Mommy". Watching Wishes that night, when the girls saw Tinkerbell descending from the castle, they screamed "Look, Tinkerbell's coming down from Heaven, Mommy must have gotten our hugs!!" Then they saw three huge heart shaped fireworks and both the twins and my son said "Thanks for the hearts Mommy, we love you too." A great family memory.
2. In 100 words or less, please tell us how you have helped others plan their Walt disney World vacations?
Last month one of the senior VPs of our company called me into her office. She said "I hear you know everything about Walt Disney World. I'm taking my grandchildren for Christmas. Please help me." We started by picking a date and a hotel, telling her that her best bet for availability was the first week in January. Then we planned out her advanced dining reservations, after I explained character dinners, and that Disney wasn't all "burgers and fries". In just over an hour, we had her entire trip planned, and saved in the Disney vacation planning web site.
3. In 100 words or less, tell us how comfortable you are working online and via a computer?
As an applications support technician, it's my job to give our company 's intranet users speedy and efficient answers to their questions and problems. If I don't know the answer myself, I have several knowledge base databases and/or people to ask for their expertise. I am a member of several Disney boards and Facebook groups and listen to three weekly Disney podcasts. If I could not answer a specific Disney question, I'm sure I could find some information on a website or someone that could help me. The most important thing is that the user feels satisfied with my answer.
Have a read, and let me know what you think, or post your own responses.
