I have sent my second round replies back in, but did not get a confirmation back. Did anyone who sent their responses in get any kind of confirmation that WDW had received their answers?

I am soooo glad you posted this. I sent my second round answers Saturday morning. When I was finished, the website thanked me and took me to the link for my certificate. (That was really cute, wasn't it?) Anyway, I have been fretting over not receive a confirmation email. It must be that they are not sending them. The responses are due at midnight tonight or tomorrow night. Maybe we'll get one after that.


I, too, want to thank all the well-wishers. It has been quite a boost to receive all the support from my fellow Disers. I really hope one of us is chosen!

I'm surprised by the plethora of sour grapes regarding this contest. I don't often enter contests, but when I do, I NEVER expect to WIN!!!

clombardi- I'm about an hour from you. I'm in Pennsville, which is right next to the DE bridge. I'm more of a trip planner than a reservation maker, so I'd pass on the travel agency job. But if we are lucky will have a great disney job real soon!

Well said.... I wanted to write something back to rip into some of these posts, but why. I submitted my answers and got the pdf certificate(really neat). Printed it and am hanging it on the wall at work. At work my wife and myself are the ones everyone comes to for tips when booking a WDW trip. My 2 sons had so much fun reading the email stating I was going to the second round as a Dis Mom Panelist. I think it's the neatest thing. Good luck to all, and I could only hope that more then one Dad makes the final 12.

When I wrote my initial entry I started off by saying I think this should be open to fathers as well, because in my house although it's a group effort and we all decide what we want to do, I make a majority of the reservations. I also mentioned that I get info from my experience's at WDW and from the internet, I referenced the disboards and allearsnet.com.

I completely agree. The negativity and scorn can be deafening at times. I try to let it just go past me. Really, who cares if some who were selected are males? I believe "Mom" in this case is simply nomenclature. Certainly men are just as capable to be disney experts.

I'm one of the super-rejects who never got any sort of reply. Oh well, I'm thrilled for those who made it on to the next level. The only bad feeling I have, and it's miniscule at best, is toward Disney for never having heard anything at all. I don't think it's right to send rejection letters - 2 types!- to some, but not all. They should have stuck with their original plan to only contact the folks to continue on.

Good Luck and Pixie Dust to all who were selected for round 2 - Regardless of your gender!! Go get 'em and make the DIS proud!!

Now that I don't feel like I might get jumped, I'd like to add that I was selected for the 2nd round. I was like most of you, watching for a rejection letter, I was very surprised to get through. Whatever their selection process, I know there's no one who knows more about Disney than those who contribute to these boards and I want to wish luck to all those who made it through and to thank all those people that have made my trips more affordable and enjoyable.

I will be happy for whoever gets through.

I submitted my 2nd round answers and didn't get a confirmation either, so we'll just have to cross our fingers now and hope for the best!

Hey all

I guess I didn't make it to the 2nd round. Still no rejection letter but I re-read my confirmation email and it said not everyone who was rejected would receive and email. I had an email from Disney this morning, got really excited, but it was just a Disney insider email

Is anyone else hearing the good news/bad news. Just curious!!
