Mom's Panel Now Taking Apps

Last year there were 3 rounds; the first was the general application that was 10,000 applications, the second round was 100 (this is the level I got to), and we had to answer 3 more questions, same format, 100 words or less, and the final round was 25 and this time they did phone interviews and from there picked the 12 panelists. Quite honestly I don't even really remember what I said in my first application last year, I did it in such a hurry because it was already a day or two into the contest and I was afraid they would close if I took too much time on it. I remember when I got the email that I made it on to round 2 I assumed that probably at least 1/4 of the applicants made it that far, I was very surprised to learn it was really only 1%!

In response to sdenis's post above . . . don't know if we've found a winner, but crazy4disney72 made it to the second round.

Hi! I applied, too. i believe I read in the rules that if you make it to the next round you will hear something by Oct. 17. At least I think that's what I read. And I have that day marked on my calander, so that's what I'm going with.

Well I talked my mom into entering, they are HUGE Disney fans (so am I, but I have little kids and hubby in Korea, so I couldn't devote a bunch of time to it) so anyway we entered her, and then after we hit submit I realize that we entered her under my name. Forgot to sign her up, but put all of her information in the answers. OPPS! We will see what happens. I hope she will get it, because it would be perfect for her.Good luck to all of you who tried out.

Just got the email from Disney -- I did not make it. I guess there's always next year...oh, and it would probably help if I actually had kids!!

Anyway, here's the email I got from them.

Since this isn't really about trip planning, we've been moving threads about the Mom's Panel over to the theme parks community board, so I'm going to move it over there now.

How do I fix that?
