Moms of little girls

If your DD is wearing tights and a onesie, do you snap the onesie over the tights or snap the onesie and then pull the tights over?

With my girls, I always snapped the onesie first and then pulled the tight up. I'm watching two little girls and both of their moms snap the onesie over the tights.

Did I do it wrong all of those years? :laughing:
Looks like it's you and me here! My DDs are in their 20s and I would put the onesie on and then pull the tights up. I now have a granddaughter, a couple of months old, and the other day DD dressed her up for a party, and put tights on, then the onesie snapped over them, and then the dress. I asked her why :confused3 and she said to keep the tights from falling down. Who knew? :confused3

Onsie over tights. Looks neater to me and keeps the tights in place.

ETA-I ditto those that say the onsie is like a leotard over tights..that's how I view it.

Odd Mom out here::lmao:
Onesie, then tights followed by ruffle butt panties. She wore lots of tights, its cold here and she always wore ruffle butts under a dress even when no tights were involved

I learned the panty trick when I was in middle school - we were required to wear panty hose or tights and a slip, I learned from a classmate that panties over the hose/tights would help hold them in place and the slip took care of panty lines

We always called them "bum pants" but I like "ruffle butts" too!

Do you mean leggings? I've never seen tights on an infant.

Really? I used to put tights on my daughters all the time when they were babies.

OP, I'm trying to remember what I used to do. I think I was a onesie then tights although the other way does make more sense!

Being that my little 2 year old is VERY tall with long legs, she has rarely worn tights, but when she has, I would snap the onsie over the tights. I have pretty much given up on tights and just gone to leggings under dresses for her, because the tights just are not long enough for her with her tiny waist.

I always pulled up the tights, then snapped the onesie. It keeps the tights from rolling down.

But with leggings, I just pulled them up like pants, over the onesie. Gosh, I never thought about it until I read this thread :lmao:

DD has worn tights once with her Christmas dress. She didn't have a onesie on, but I put the tights before I put her ruffle panties on. Tights don't work very well on DD because she is insanely skinny with chicken legs so they are huge on her no matter what size they are.
