Today I went shopping with a close friend of mine while my girls were at Mother's Day Out. I was in search of a bathing suit--fun, fun! Uggh! I was pleasantly surprised at how fast we found one!! First we started at JC Penney and nothing really looked right. So we headed to Macy's. I tried on a TON of suits and this is what I ended up with! This is huge for me b/c I always end up buying black suits. It's really cute on--and slimming--which is nice!! Plus it makes me look like I actually have something up top if you know what I mean!!

Then after a lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings--YUM--first time to ever eat there--I headed to Target to pick up some things for the trip. Here's what I got:

When I picked up the girls from school I was excited to see that Ally was bringing home her preschool memory book--it is FULL of pictures of things that they have done throughout the year. So when I got home I looked through it and had a little cry-fest!!
Ally also had made some things for me for Mother's Day. Here is an interview that her teachers did and wrote down the answers--so sweet (check out #7)!

Today we also received a 2-in-1 harness that I ordered for Claire for our trip. It's funny--I vowed that I would never put my kids on a "leash"--now I'm eating my words. For my sanity (and Brent's) I knew this was a must for when we stand in line without our stroller. Neither of us wanted to fight holding her--she's just too mobile and independent. So I broke down and ordered this:

It's cute at least--right?! Well, Claire LOVES it! Take a look at this:

Update on the customs--they still aren't here!! She sent me a Paypal e-mail with tracking (this was Monday evening). I checked it a little while ago and it said that the item was accepted this morning!! So she must not have shipped it until today! She told me she would ship Priority on MONDAY! Uggh!! At least now I know it is out of her hands and on its way. I was wanting to make the girls bows to match their outfits--now I'm going to be racing to get it done (along with everything else I have to do). And we're headed to Alabama for the weekend to visit Brent's parents. I'm hoping they come tomorrow or else I'm going to have to get my neighbors to watch for the package--and have to worry about it all weekend. So pray they come tomorrow!!

Hi Becky, the sets were sent either on Monday or Tue. Honestly I can't remember. Your D/C is #### I know you have been waiting for these sets for a long time but please give them a day or two more to arrive.

Adorable suit, Becky!! Love it and it does seem like a very flattering style!! You made out well at Target, do you need a seperate suitcase for all of that or will you ship ahead of time? I can't believe that you still do not have your dresses!! This person seems like she hasn't been completely honest with you this whole time, that's a shame, cause I'm sure you would have recommended her otherwise. Hope they come tomorrow so you have to think about your boys before the trip!! I hope you have a great weekend and VERY HAPPY MOTHERS DAY, enjoy your weekend away!!!

Thank Kristen!! No, I don't think I'll need a separate suitcase. I'm a VERY good packer and use every bit of space available. The huge ziplock bags are to pack the girls outfits--1 bag/outfit per day. Everything that is in a box will come out and be strategically placed in an empty spots. I'm such a dork!! It IS a shame that she hasn't been completely honest. Thank you and I hope you have a very Happy Mother's Day as well!!

I totally use that first packing list link you posted..I have for the past 2 trips and I LOVE IT!

Very nice bathing suit....I think that color is beautiful!

We used a "leash" on my middle son when he was 2 and 3.....he was prone to walking off so, in my opinion, it was more important to know where he was than to please everyone around me! Good for you for making the same decision. Claire will be happier being able to be independent and explore a bit.

Nice haul at Target! I wish I could have found HSM fruit snacks for our trip! Too cute!

I know!! 8 days!! Whoo hoo!! Isn't that list great? It was exactly what I was looking for to help me pack! YEs, I think Claire will be much happier with the 2-in-1 harness. She wore it all around the house last night! It was hilarious!! YES, I think the HSM fruit snacks are new. I just started seeing them at Target--and Ally LOVES HSM!!

Thank you Sara!! I don't really want to be in a suit either but with 2 girls that will want to swim--it's inevitable!! Yes, #8 made me cry--it's nice to know that she notices things like that and that they have made an impression on her. Yes, Claire LOVES her Minnie Mouse! Well, I checked my tracking info for the customs. It said: Your item was processed and left our CHATTANOOGA, TN 37421 facility on May 7, 2009. So I'm not so sure I'll get them today--that's all the way at the other end of TN. But we'll see!

Been lurking on your PTR...I'm so jealous you guys are going.

Anywho! That harness will be a life saver. We took our son back in December, he was just shy of 15 months old. We bought one of the monkey harnesses (from Target) and he LOVED it. It was great for in line waiting for rides, walking around the resort, riding the bus, even at the airport it was a life saver. You guys will be glad you have it.

Wish I would have seen the Mickey one. That's precious!

Ooooh I love the Minne "leash". Did you order that from Disney Shopping? I vowed to never put DD in a "leash" either, but I'd really like to get one for our next trip--she's very independent too! I love Target too!! Too bad the nearest one is 40 mins. away in Jackson!
