So, DH has finally said given me the go-ahead to go on a solo trip to Disney. Wouldn't luck have it I am booked to go the weekend of Mousefest!   No husband, no kids, no rules. Just me and my....something or other.

What do I need to know? Where do I need to go? Do I need to do anything, or just show up? :confused3 I am totally flying solo on this, and until just a couple of weeks ago, have never even heard of Mousefest. :scared1: This is such a great and knowledgeable group of people, I figured it was the best place to ask. :worship:

I'm staying offsite, but close, and will probably have a car. The original intent was to go and do the Christmas thing, see the decorations, Candlelight Processional, and such. It just happened to work out over Mousefest. What else is there for a 30-something stay-at-home Mom to do with no schedule to follow and no one to tell her where to go or what to do? I haven't been to Disney since our honeymoon, over 9 years ago.

I am so jealous!!!

I tried talking DH into doing the same for me & he wouldn't go for it :sad2:

Have a wonderful trip!

Have a look at the Mousefest site.

http://www.mousefest.org/default.asp

There is a schedule marked on the left hand side. I think Mousefest events would be great for a solo as you would have 'friends' to join with.

You can register for Mousefest and then you get some extras, but you can join in whether you register or not.

My friend and I are doing the same thing (but are staying at POR). We are both in our early 40's and leaving the dh's and kids at home!

There are a lot of MouseFesters that strike out on solo trips to attend!

I will be doing Mousefest solo. This will be my first Mousefest. So I basically, periodically go to the Mousefest website and check out the schedule. I was surprised at all there was to do! So I have been trying to determine a minimum set of activities and then I will supplement with additional things when I get there and see how things are going.
