As promised, a new update!



After AIE, we then decided to go over to the gate for Fantasmic dinner package. It was getting a bit chilly, so we sipped hot chocolate while we waited for the show to start

We got nice seats thanks to our ADR. The other side was already filling way up and there was still about an hour to go! The Brazilian tour groups were there and chanting back and forth. I’m glad we didn’t get stuck by them. They had lots of endless energy!



Soon the show started. Again my pictures were disappointing to me. I’m going to check in to a class, I’ve got to learn more about night/low lighting /dark shots.














The show was amazing, and we managed to get right out and to our bus which was waiting, and right back to POR.
We walked in to find some create uses of towels by Mouse keeping!

Off to bed for as the next day we had a 7:30 am ADR at Chef Mickeys and FINALLY we go to our 1st Magic Kingdom day..............: or so we think!

Sam's graduating on Friday, May 27th @ 7:00pm. I'm trying to get time off of work, so I can attend rehearsal. I gotta get a good spot!

I hear you. My plan is to get there really early. I understand they won't open the doors until an hour out, but it will be packed outside the doors by then. My problem is I can't decide if I want to go for main floor or front row of upper balcony. Oh, the decisions we have to make!

Fantasmic looks great. It seems like SO long ago that we were there, and it was only 5 months! I really want to run away from life right now and straight back to Disney. I'm just not ready for this graduation thing.

Men just can't keep secrets. One time for Christmas, Skip asked me when he was supposed to give me my earrin.....errrr gift. LOL! That was in the early years when he still bought me gifts.

So Sam doesn't know about it either. You're so sneaky!

I'm just not ready for this graduation thing.

I'm not either, but I'm ready for it to be over. Does that make any sense? I'm actually getting kind of mad, I can't get off work for that day, or I'll be missing 2 days pay.
I also won't know if Sam can save seats until Friday morning. I'm only concerned with my Grandparents, they can't sit on bleachers. I hate this feeeling of being unorganized, even though it's not me!

Fantasmic was very cool, but I think I like Wishes the most

Mousekeeping, didn't do much with towels at the begining of the trip, but made up for it!

No, Sam doesn't know, I'm actually wondering how & when to tell her. She does use this laptop sometimes, I do wonder if she's ever checked the history and knows but isn't telling me

I really like POR. It just seem very comfortable to us. Prof Von Drake came with to Disney. She wanted to bring a whole bag full, but I said only 1 "friend" could come!

I figured I'd get an update in before the graduation craziness starts. In fact, starting Thursday I have my sister's family coming up from Illinois to stay with us. My tiny house is going to be packed with kiddos(3 under the age of 6) I may go crazy!

Anyway, Here's how our 1st Magic Kingdom Day started...............

Finally, our first day at Magic Kingdom! I woke up excited. I woke up very early. First thing on our agenda, a 7:30am ADR at Chef Mickeys!
I got everyone up, and we were all getting ready. Kadence was being kind of quiet and just laying there,(which isn’t her) and said her tummy hurted. Usually this means she has to use the bathroom, or do some tooting. I know, TMI.
I was helping her get dressed and combing her hair and she felt like using the bathroom. After that she said she felt better. I had just finished her hair, and she said her tummy hurted again. It wasn’t 2 seconds later and she was gagging and I barely got her in the bathroom before she threw up.

I got her washed up and we were discussing if John& Sam should just go to CM’s without us. I had added a celebration to the ADR, (Sam’s graduation) and I was hoping she could go. Kadence said she felt better and she wanted to go see Mickey & Minnie. She had to show Minnie her shirt. (It was Red w/ white polka dots)
She did have some color back, and seemed better. Maybe we had pushed too hard and it had caught up with her. We decided to all go.

We got another bit of Magic; the bus driver asked us,” Where you headed folks?” Chef Mickeys, I said. He told us if no other guests got on he would take us straight there. Well, we ended up being the only passengers! He dropped us off right in front of the Contemporary and in we headed.

Kadence did real well on the bus ride, no mention of her tummy. We found the escalators and we headed up to restaurant level. We had just gotten on to the floor, and Kadence said she had to go potty, so into the bathroom we went. She did some tooting (again TMI, sorry) and stuff…. I asked her if she felt bad or sick and she said no; better now that she went potty again.
We checked into Chef Mickeys and got our picture taken (with our own camera as well, we had already decide to decline the picture.)



We were seated right away. Our Waitress was amazing, so cheerful. Letting us know that the characters were starting to come around and we did have time to get our food. We had just sat down and some loud music came on, it was a celebration song and here comes our waitress with a cupcake for Sammy. She was singing Sam’s name out loud and everyone was just staring our way. Sam was sooo embarrassed.



Mickey had just happened to come by at that time, and he stopped and when the waitress informed him what the celebration was , he pulled Sam outta her seat and high fived her. It all happened so fast,, I tried to snap some pictures, but got a few blurry ones. I did get this one, and Kadence was excited to hold on to the cupcake for Sissy.



Mickey stayed and posed with Kadence and signed her book.





Then along came Minnie. Kadence was so happy.







They played a bit and Minnie did point at Kadence’s shirt and her dress. I swear I had a photo?
Anyway, there’s Kadence going for the nose again. I’m just as puzzled as my DH as to why she’s so obsessed with the noses of characters.

Pluto was next, and he was very playful.









He spent a long time with her, and even Donald stopped by to laugh at them!



After that we got some time to actually eat some food, but Kadence was just pushing it around her plate. She said she was cold, and wanted to put her sweatshirt on. I was starting to worry that she really was coming down with something.
Goofy stopped by, and was impressed with Kadence’s hair! He’s so goofy!







Donald stopped this time for an autograph and a picture, but gone just as fast.






I understood about 2 seconds later as the music started, and the napkins started waving in the air.
Kadence then told us that her tummy started hurting again, and this time we just made it to the bathroom, when she threw up and then started getting the chills. She didn’t feel to warm, but it didn’t matter any longer. I’m glad we were done eating, because we were outta there!

John settled the bill with the waitress, when she found out Kadence was not feeling well, bought us a glass of water to rinse out Kadence’s mouth and then gave me a apple juice box, and told Kadence she hoped she felt better soon.

We had to ride the monorail to the Magic Kingdom stop, to get off and head to our bus stop. As we walked past the MK gates, the train was just chugging into place for the welcome show. I felt sad that we were missing our 1st day at MK. I told Sam if she wanted, she could stay and check it out by herself, but she said no.

We got lucky, and a POR bus had just dropped off and was empty for the return trip. I was glad, cuz I really didn’t know if Kadence was going throw up again and I didn’t want to have anyone to have to see that.
We got back to the resort at 8:45am. I laid down with Kadence, and she fell asleep within minutes I swear. John put the TV on low, and before long we were all napping the day away.

Will we ever get to Magic Kingdom?

Aw, poor Kadence! It's never fun to have a sick child, especially in WDW! You build up to the excitement of being there and having a great time, and then along comes reality. I hope the nap made her feel better!

Sorry your MK day didn't go as planned - really hope to read that after the nap everyone was feeling 100% again.
