He is so freakin cute I can't stand it ...wait a minute I thought this was a surprise BD trip ???

Thanks! He makes my heart swoon. My ticker says surprise B-Day trip because that's what it was going to be originally. As time went on I decided to talk about it so he'd get excited. It has also come in handy. Now he brushes his teeth because Mickey Mouse knows! Every time we brush we say that when he goes to meet Mickey Mouse, his smile will be so bright that it goes, "DING!" like a little sparkle from his nicely brushed teeth. It's pretty awesome.

I remember when my kids were about his age I got them in bed when it got dark telling them that God had pulled down the window shade on Mr. Sun Nite Nite now ...love those ages

Aww that's so sweet! I also tell him that Santa knows. This age is the one of the most challenging as a parent so far, but it's also the most rewarding. I couldn't possibly imagine loving anything or anyone the way I love him. I knew before I became a mother that I'd feel a special love like nothing else, but the feeling is far more beautiful that I ever could have imagined. He makes me laugh, he makes me smile, he makes me want to scream into a pillow, he makes me want to pull my hair out, he makes my heart melt, he makes me so so so so proud. It's definitely an all-inclusive deal.

I'm looking very forward to getting to know Liam as he grows. We push through every stage together. Last week he had a really bad cold... on top of being 2. He has always been such a little tender hearted, sweet, chill little lamb and he unleashed the biggest monster I've ever seen come out of my sweet boy. I never have to yell at him but I was at my wits end with his behavior. I sat down with him and said "Mommy's sorry she yelled at you. I just don't know how to handle your behavior when you're like this. I don't know what to do buddy. I'm sorry and I love you so much." He cuddled me, gave me a kiss and said it's ok. A lot of my friends who have children Liam's age say they don't want their kids to get any bigger. I disagree. I LOVE every milestone..... well I don't love the screeching and hitting.... but I understand that it's normal and it's just how he expresses himself right now sometimes. He's always good for other people and that's what matters.

We got our customized maps!!! We will probably leave those at home when we go, but they're still so magical! Being a photographer, I have a nice larger printer at home so I will modify them once the trip is over to include everything we did and exclude everything we didn't end up doing just so we have special ones that commemorate our first Mommy/Buddy trip together.

Actually my ticker is wrong, we leave tomorrow morning!!!

I came here to post that I just got off work and I'm sitting in the car letting it warm up before I drive and I am so excited that I can actually feel it pumping through my body. I absolutely can NOT wait to see how Liam reacts to WDW. He acts excited and talks all about it. He has no idea what is about to happen in his little life and I just know this is going to be just the thing that both of us need right now.

Time to go home and finish packing!!!

Quick update. We stayed at Pop last night and got a complementary upgrade to a Cars Suite at 9am! Plans got started late because I woke up at 3:30 and couldn't fall back to sleep so we got up at 7:30. We made it as far as meeting Mickey and Pluto before I fell off he WDWRR at the Main St. station and messed my foot/ankle up horribly. It's likely a dislocated metacarpal and bad sprain. We managed Haunted Mansion before we took a taxi back to AoA. I filed an incident report with a manager and got reimbursed for the taxi and I now have an ECV that Disney is going to reimburse me for. They'll also pay for any medical bills, so the manager says. She gave me a card to call tomorrow and tell them my situation again, but she'll enter the report into the computer and file things on her end. I just got word that they don't allow lap riding on ECVs and I really am concerned that I'll get grief for it. Dear God I hope not. Otherwise idk what I'll do.

I'm bummed but I'm not wanting for this to ruin our vacation. In still planning on taking Liam to DHS tomorrow and going forward as anticipated for years now.
