Oh my goodness! I am so glad you made it to a bathroom on time! I can't believe your keys didn't work at that crucial moment! I have had horrible episodes like that before where it was a race! Glad you made it on time!

I love watching the monorail go throuh the CR when we're there! It's funny to see birds flying around inside too.

My stomach was the SAME way on our last trip. I know that I normally have a sensitive stomach but my stomach was not that upset on our honeymoon in Disney. I noticed that the more preservatives in my food the worse I feel. Places like CM must use preservative overload! I felt so sick by the last day, it really prevented me from having a better time!

I normally have a senstive stomach too... By that night we had been away from home for 7 days. We ate pretty well at Jeff's but there was some fast food mixed in there too. I think my stomach was just on junk overload at that point. I was quite cautious with everything I ate for the rest of the trip.

Whew! So glad you made it to the bathroom on time.

Hi there! I'm late to your TR but i'm lovin it We've had breakfast at Chef Mickey's and I just fell in love with it there. I've heard from about a thousand people that the food at dinner is pretty horrific, but it's just so much fun there that I still always wanted to try it. After reading about your emergency, I think we'll stick to breakfast! I'm always paranoid about something like that happening to me at the worst time ever. I'm so sorry it happened to you at WDW! I was sick for a day on a trip about 6 years ago, and it was just so awful to feel so sick at such a happy place! Anyway i'll stop rambling now

I think we'll try breakfast next time we do Chef Mickey's! My boys don't do well waiting in the character lines so character meals are the way to go for us... even though Alex will be a Disney adult next time we are there.

Sorry you were sick on one of your trips... my stomach didn't feel right the rest of the trip, but luckily it didn't keep me from doing things.

I haven't heard great things about the food at Chef Mickey's but I really want to try it just for the characters and atmosphere. It looks like so much fun! And to walk there from the MK sounds fabulous...it is now on my "to do" list!

Of course your keys didn't work...that ONLY happens when you NEED to get in! I'm glad you made it to the potty on time!!

It was fun for Zach to see his friend at MK! (I just ran into Isabelle & Christine at the grocery store!!)

We'll definitely go back to CM... it's a great experience & a nice walk from MK. We may opt for breakfast next time.

Awwww....you poor thing! A bathroom emergency is never fun but one in a public bathroom is never comfortable. But I must say.....better you than the kids or Tim for the sake of the rest of your vacation.

Honestly I didn't care that I was in a public bathroom at that point!

And I agree... I'm glad it was me because nobody else would have watched what they were eating & probably would have had a repeat incident.

Great pictures at Chef Mickey's!! It looks like you were sitting around the same spot we were last year. While we love Chef Mickey's....it's mostly because you are able to see the Fab 5 all in one place. We've never been too impressed with the food.

We love being able to see the Fab 5 all together, but agree the food isn't fantastic. It wasn't awful that night, I was satisfied with my meal... at least for a little while.

I made sure I got a pic with Minnie. DD and I went to Cindy's for her birthday a couple weeks ago. I'm kind of bummed I didn't get any pics of me & the princesses....since it was the 2 of us. I should have just asked someone to take one for me...but I didn't want to bother anyone. I guess I will try to get some pictures next time we go!

Yes, the photo at the entrance to CM is with the fake Mickey and the big plate. I wish they would let you add those photos to your photopass card! It must have been cool to have a character greet you!

It's hard to find the right balance of healthy food at Disney... not that it's a Disney thing, it's a vaction thing.

That's why I actually like buffets....I always fix myself a big green leafy salad. Not to mention my "salad" I make from the fixin' bar at Pecos Bills or Cosmic Rays.

Laura & I got together yesterday morning to discuss the resort plans... I filled her in on my last call with Orbitz letting her know that the represenative was able to confirm that our requests had been noted on the ressie but that nothing could be guaranteed... not even two beds. However, it appears as thought that's the case even when you book through Disney... I checked out the website and king beds aren't a separate catagory like they are at other resorts. Not sure if it's a deluxe thing or BWI thing.

I also told her that I posted this information for my DISfriends to read and they all thought I was crazy for wanting to stick with POR just because of a possible (but unlikely) bed issue. The funny thing is that she heard the same thing from someone she knows! Laura's co-worker knows a DIS-fanatic who said we should go BWI all the way! We'd be crazy not to!

Since I was feeling better about the food & transportation issues and Laura was feeling better about the room request issues, we have decided to go with The Boardwalk Inn!!

And now I'm really excited!! I spent a good chunk of time looking through the BWI threads here on the DIS and looking up BWI information & pictures anywhere else I could find some! Here are some pictures from allears:

It's true, no guarantee on the rooms at the YC either. I've been told that they will look at how many people you have in the room when assigning. Mildly worried that we will have issues at check in as we want both rooms to have 2 queens and the daybed and apparently not all have daybeds. Because Sandie and Paul are booked as just 2 in their room, I worry they will try to give them a King and then we have a pretty major problem. 2 very big teens on daybeds.

But I'll deal with it then, not worth stressing about and I agree, chances are small.

I'm so excited!! I knew all my DIS-friends would be proud of us for deciding on BWI!

As far as the beds go... we are a party of two so they may have assumed a king room would be good for us, but we've requested 2 queens so that's all we can do and hope for the best. I've shared beds with friends before and knowing Laura would be OK with that makes it OK with me.

Did you request rooms with daybeds? I'd do that so they at least know what you want. Hopefully it will work out for all of us.

Woot! for BWI! I've never stayed there but we visit almost every trip. I can tell you that the valets are great for getting a cab for you. The cabs wait a little bit down from the main door so the valets call one over for you.

And the Wyland Gallery is really cool if you have the time to check that out for a few minutes.

Tim & I have explored the Boardwalk a couple different times on date nights & it's just beautiful! When I was talking with him about which resort we should stay at, he reminded me how much I have always talked about staying at BC because I love that area so much. I think I'll love BWI just as much as I would love BC!
