Mom recommendations - Thirty One bag as diaper bag?

My friend is hosting a Thirty One purse party at the *ahem* convincing of our other friend who is a consultant. I've looked at the catalog, and really the only thing I could justify spending money on is a bag to use as a diaper bag. So are any of the Thirty One bags good diaper bags?

So right up my alley with all my Thirty One bags. Lol. Here's my thoughts on three options:

1. Friends of mine have the Cindy tote and swear by it. It's not my style particularly, but it seems to work for others. http://www.thirtyonegifts.com/Catalog/Product/19/index.html

2. Organizing Utility tote is what I use to cart stuff around. Fully functional with lots of pockets. Notice open bag to find what you need. Typical use for a diaper bag. I think this is their most versatile bag and I have 3 of them. http://www.thirtyonegifts.com/Catalog/Product/27/index.html

3. Metro retro bag OR Metro retro tote depending on how big you need. Be mindful that none of these bags (and few in their product line in the diaper bag and larger sizes) close at the top. I have both. One I use more as a big purse and the other to carry as my mobile home office. Neither have the pockets that the Cindy or Org. Utility tote have, but it is more stylish than functional, looking more like a purse. All depends on form over function and which you prefer!

I LOVE thirty one! I bought a bag a few years ago as a diaper bag and my only concern was that there was no zipper in the particular bag I bought. That's fine and dandy for most times, but in public, like at the store, mall or WDW, I felt like anyone could just reach in and grab my wallet or phone, etc. It just made me very nervous. They are really good quality bags, though and super cute!

I prefer Vera Bradley, but if you are going to use a 31 bag, I would recommend the new super organizing tote. It is the same concept as the organizing utility tote, but slightly taller, and has a zipper.

I bought a cinch sack from thirty one while pregnant with my little one. I didn't want a traditional looking diaper bag and I wanted something I can use after I don't need the diaper bag anymore. I think it was like $30. I like it, it's easier then a regular diaper bag because you can wear it like a bookbag.

I would try the Casual Cargo Purse. I have it and use as a purse, but my SIL uses it as a diaper bag. There are 2 smaller pockets on the outside. On the inside, there is a large zippered pocket, smaller pockets like for a cell phone, but also 2 pockets on each end that are elasticized at the top. Perfect for holding bottles. I carry water bottles in mine all the time!

The Super Organizing Utility tote is a great bag and zips closed, but it's huge and not something I'd want to carry out for shopping or errands.
