tropical development in Atlantic

Madame Leota, please don’t spawn a hurricane over the Disney cays in the Bahamas! We have people trying to stuff their bellies at Cookies and True-True BBQ…

Last year our trip was the last week of Sept into the first week of Oct. By sheer luck we ended up positioned BETWEEN two park closing hurricanes, including Milton. Our trip was amazingly not impacted, but it was a nail biter 😬😬😬. This year we are trying mid Oct instead 🤞🤞.

I leave on my first solo cruise on 9/15 for 4 nights.....please keep the Bahamas in tack...

In 2011 a hurricane went thru the Bahamas prior to our cruise, Florida was fine.

NO CC, all excursions canceled in Nassau.

I am so looking forward to visitin LP for the first time and I love CC.

🚢 :earsgirl: :earsgirl: 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏

You have to be concerned if you’re taking a 10 day vacation in a camper at Fort Wilderness with your dogs. I’m wishing for the “might not”.
I guess I worded that incorrectly. I understand that it's hard not to be concerned if you have an upcoming trip, but the bottom line truly is that this might be an issue for Orlando and it might not, and that it really is far too soon to predict what will actually happen. Over the years, I've seen these sorts of systems amount to absolutely nothing countless times. But sometimes, it's the opposite. If this does end up hitting Orlando, it will absolutely stink for people planning vacations during that time, but Disney is great about working with impacted guests. Whatever happens, though, there's nothing that can be done about it right now, so the best plan of action IMO is to try to stay excited about your trip in the meantime!

You knew the risk when you booked it so you have back up plans- even if they are “don’t drive my camper into a literal hurricane”. If you really want to spend the next 2 weeks “concerned” you do you, but it’s completely unnecessary at this time.

You’re right, I know the risks of booking in September. My back up plan is cancel. Let’s hope this storm moves north into the Atlantic but there’s nothing wrong with watching the weather 12 days out :)
