I am soo excited for my dd (13) she tried out for her middle school cheer team and made it. :cheer2: All three days of tries out she hasn't been nervous until she was waiting for results.:rotfl:

Congratulations! I was a cheerleader for 11 years, and it was so much fun. It's a lot harder than it seems, but she must be so excited to be on the team. :)

Thanks she is. She keeps yelling I am so excited :lmao:
She has eben doing rec league for 6 years.

Awesome! Congrats! Is this the type of cheer team that does stunts?

Regardless, good job to your dd.

Congrats to your dd. My older dd was a cheerleader all through middle school and high school. Now she's coaching a JV team at her old high school because she loved being a cheerleader so much.

Congratulations!!! I know how exciting that is because my daughter is also a cheerleader. She also cheered with parks and rec first, and the for the Middle School and now for her High School. She loves it!! She is begging to do a competitive all star team and her tumbling gym is starting one soon so she will be doing both. This should be fun! :rotfl2: She is doing co Ed stunting classes now too. This girl eats, drinks, and sleeps cheer!!:cheer2:

She would love to compete at Worlds one day.

She also has shown interest in competition cheer. Yikes. I am just glad we can put it off a year :rotfl: Good luck to her.

Mine did local competitions with her high school team, and they also did an open national competition in Orlando every year. Lots of fun, but also lots of time and money involved.

Thanks!! I love to watch them compete. I just wish we had been warned by how expensive it all is. :rotfl2:

Our girls went to Disney a few years ago when they won state, just before my daughter started cheering with them. Now our coach has all but given up competing with school. We did in the 7th and 8th grade but not since then. It's sad to have this much talent, and not use it. This is why their tumbling coach is putting a team together. We have girls doing tucks, layouts and a few doing fulls, and yet wee don't compete. They say its because we not have time since we cheer so much especially since our football team has made it to the playoffs for the past couple of years. I wish they would make time for it.

The HS here also had a competition team but since we are a few years off I don't know much about it right now.

That is awesome. Yeah I have been warned how much $$$ it is :rotfl2: that is dh's first question.

Congratulations!!

My son tried out for cheer this year - the only guy that tried out - and is the cheerleader mascot for his Junior Year of high school next year! Both football & basketball. He is learning all of the cheers and attending all of the practices because he is expected to go out there and not only shake it in the mascot costume, but do some of the cheers along with the cheerleaders. This is the first year in a long time they have had an "official" mascot.

He is so excited! Now I am a cheer mom!
:thumbsup2
