I am taking my 8 year old to Disney in August/ September. I am looking for cool things to do. It's my 4th trip and her third. Ideas so far:

Pirates and pals fireworks cruise
Wishes dessert party
Illuminations dessert party

We're eating at:
BOG
California Grill
Cinderella Castle

Any ideas would be appreciated!!!

August will still be warm enough for water parks so maybe add water parks and more to your tickets. This would get you waterparks, mini golf, disney quest and a few other extras. We always do some extras but have never done all of the extras on our trip. Another idea would be if there is a disney movie coming out while you are there, catch the late night showing of it at AMC in DTD. We have done Pirates and Wishes dessert party - when I asked which one she preferred my DD said Pirates and Pals over Wishes (a kid's opinion). She liked the entertainment, snacks and overall experience better. Also, if staying on property, just staying at MK for Evening EMH and closing the park down is thrilling for them.

Have fun and enjoy this time with your DD.

My 8 year old daughter's favorite thing was exploring world showcase at night. I let her choose where to go, and it was her favorite memory. China and Japan were favorite stops. Pick a pearl is fun! Also, the animation academy is a fun stop if she enjoys drawing!
