I LOVE your spot for the EP!!! THE BEST!!! love the room THANK YOU for the pictures!!!! I will be staying there.. I have made up my mind on that.
YAY for Disney tooth fairy! That's the BEST TIME EVER! great memories this trip!!!! tooth First girlfriend. you have it all!!!

then the MEET AND GREET with the famous of INFAMOUS however you want to say it! LOL

Very cool being able to stroll in grab a spot for the MSEP and then high-tail it out of there as soon as it was over! Sounds fabulous!

I totally got goose bumbs reading the stor about Bradey losing his first tooth. What a special, MAGICAL pixiedust: moment that you both will always treasure! I love reading about such feel good moments...especially when they happen in the Happiest Place on Earth!

Awesome update/updates!!!

That is exactly what we did for Spectromagic in 2008 - we were probably sitting exactly where you were, we went in to MK far enough to sit on the curb and watched Spectromagic - which in turn, turned into our family tradition of going into MK on our first night. I agree - that is the perfect place to watch the parades!

That pork sandwich looks delicious! I could go for one!

LOL - Yah - everyone can stay at the Poly, but me... Unless I am walking everywhere - it's quicker.

I love that Bradey lost his first tooth in Disney! That is so special. So, has his new tooth started to come in yet?

Great update!!!

D~

What a magical night. It is so nice that you got to meet Kathy and Mark. How sweet that they brought gifts for Bradey.

Your visit to MK was perfect. You really make the most of your stay at the Poly with all your hopping, resort time and monorail rides.

Oh yeah - great pictures!

I am enjoying your trip report and especially appreciate the inclusion of your cousin's vegetarian meals! That noodle bowl looks awesome!

I agree with this totally - I need to start keeping notes for Alli for next year... I will have to start sending her to get her meals early. :thumbsup2 That noodle bowl looks amazing though!

OMG --- Suzie

That set of pictures you just posted really makes us miss Disney....

Still loving it.... Midori will be 14 in 9 days..:scared: Time is flying..

Suzi, what a great update.

Dinner at Captain Cooks looks yummy. Mark and I have to go there on one of our next trips...I always loved that place.

I love Capt Cooks. They have a very small menu compared to the value resorts and mods, but what they have is sooooo yummy. I sometimes wish they had more for choices for breakfast, but really...that would just make it harder to choose and I love my Mickey waffles, so I don't really need anything else.

A celebrity? I think not; but that is very sweet of you to say. I am so happy that we were able to work it out and meet you, Sara and Bradey. I think Mark was too busy talking to Bradey to get into the picture. And I think since he isn't on the DIS, he feels he shouldn't be in the pictures.

Yes a celebrity....just look at how many followers you have on here! And Mark is always welcome in my pictures ::yes::

I remember you saying you were going to hop over to MK to see the parade and I'm glad you did. We, unfortunately, missed it again. :(

And so glad that the tooth fairy was very generous to Bradey since he lost his first took at the happiest place on earth.

I am so over the moon happy that he had that experience in Disney. He hasn't lost a second tooth, but it is loose.

I don't think you would be happy staying anywhere else. Maybe...if the construction is bad, but I think you will be fine.

Haha..yes, first tooth, but not first girlfriend...he has one here at home princess::groom:

It was a great spot for MSEP. I had thought of doing that before, but didn't know how it would work. Perfect for those with park hoppers who don't really want to go to MK, but want to see the parade or a show. It worked well.

It definitely was a feel good moment. I wanted to call hubby and tell him right away because this tooth had been loose for like a month. But Bradey wanted to surprise him when we got home. It was cute.

Awesome update/updates!!!

Yep, MK on arrival night is a must. And I think I got the idea from you about sitting there. It was perfect.

That pork sandwich looks delicious! I could go for one!

Oh the Aloha Pork is so good. It has fresh cucumbers and pineapple slaw on top. So yummy. Not a messy, saucy pulled pork, just really flavorful.

LOL - Yah - everyone can stay at the Poly, but me... Unless I am walking everywhere - it's quicker.

Yeah, this makes me worried if we decide to stay there for the girls trip that may or may not happen...we will have to make sure Mo and I get on a different monorail than you every time so your bad luck doesn't rub off on us :rotfl2: But there's always the boat...and the ferry at TTC.

I love that Bradey lost his first tooth in Disney! That is so special. So, has his new tooth started to come in yet?

Great update!!!

D~

His new tooth already had come in. That's what finally pushed it out. The new tooth came in behind the old one. I hope they don't all come in like that...it looked really weird while they were both in there...like shark teeth :scared: He has another two loose, but nothing else out yet.

Great pics! :)

Thank you! But most of them were Sara's...oh the shame :rolleyes2

Oh yeah - great pictures!

Kathy and Mark are wonderful people...so much fun!

I don't think I could ever go to WDW without hoppers. They are very worth it to us with our touring style. Even when I stayed at POFQ, I still hopped around like that and had a blast. It is just so freeing to know I can go where I want when I want.

I am enjoying your trip report and especially appreciate the inclusion of your cousin's vegetarian meals! That noodle bowl looks awesome!

They really did have some delish veggie dishes. The quinoa salad at Be Our Guest lunch, the veggie lasagna at Chefs de France, the hummus sandwich at Columbia Harbor House, the noodle bowls at the Poly. Kona Cafe has that noodle bowl too for lunch and dinner. Yum Yum. She wasn't very impressed with the veggie burgers anywhere she tried them. She said they were all dry and bland. But she never went hungry.

What a great meeting with Rapunzel! How fun!

Oh she was just fabulous. My favorite meet of the trip for sure. Well...Gaston was pretty fun too.

I agree with this totally - I need to start keeping notes for Alli for next year... I will have to start sending her to get her meals early. :thumbsup2 That noodle bowl looks amazing though!

D~

There are a lot of vegetarian TRs on here. I looked them over when I was planning meals for Sara. I tell you though...I think her favorite meal of the whole week was the night of the Dessert Party. The hummus sandwich at Columbia Harbor House. It was just so fresh and yummy (I tried it). Boma for dinner was very good vegetarian fare too. Yes they have the carving station, but almost all of the side dishes and salads were vegetarian. They might not have been vegan, but that is a whole different ship.

14??! How did that happen??! Before you know it, she will be driving :drive: Good luck with that!

Following along .. great TR ! Bradey is a cutie. :thumbsup2

Thanks Michelle!

Sorry everyone for the lull in updates. I just am having trouble finding DIS time lately. So much going on here including me starting a new business venture with AVON. But I really want to finish this TR up, so here we go....

Tuesday August 20th - It's D~ day!!!

We were up and at 'em early this morning because I wanted to take in the Welcome Show at Magic Kingdom. So we ate at Captain Cooks. Bradey wanted something soft with his freshly lost tooth...

So he and I both ordered Mickey waffles. I had strawberries and sausage with mine,

He had just sausage with his...he was afraid the seeds from the strawberries would get in his new hole.

And Sara had the famous Tonga Toast....too sweet for me, but lots of people love it.

It was very over cooked, as you can tell from the picture, but she enjoyed it anyway.

We ate then ran back to the room to deposit mugs and brush what remaining teeth we all had. Then we were off and running. No problems with the monorail and we got there in plenty of time to grab my favorite spot. Through bag check, but outside the turnstyles right in the middle on the back side of the big stone planter.

I love watching the show from here because everyone else is stuffed tight inside and when the show is over, we casually go through the turnstyles and enter the park with everyone else. Just gives you more room to stretch out while you are waiting for the show.

No pictures of the welcome show. I was too busy crying. Just love that thing. If you haven't seen it, please please make time to see it next time. It is just such a great way to start your day at Magic Kingdom.

So. After I dried my eyes and we got through the gates, we immediately leaned to the right so I could get a photo with my bestest buddy

I missed him the past two trips and I was bound and determined to get one this trip.

We moved further into the magic and got a pic of Sara in front of the castle

Moving along we headed straight to FantasyLand and rode Pooh.

Sorry, it's a bumpy ride!

We walked over to Peter Pan and rode that one. Then turned the corner and saw these two with only one family in front of us

They took a long time with each person. Which was great interaction, but we were kinda in a hurry to get more rides done before it got too busy. But Bradey was having a blast talking to them.

They were fun

And it was time for FrontierLand. We walked over to Splash and grabbed FPs and rode it, then rode Thunder Mountain. I was nervous about this because he was not too keen on Everest the other day. So as we were coming back into the station, I asked him what he thought. He said "Hmmm...well....if I had a list of my favorite rides, this would be on it."

SCORE!

Then we rode Splash with our FPs

Phew.....I barely made it through this ride without throwing up. It smelled soooo badly from sweat. The lap bars were just slippery with nastiness. It was gross. I really didn't want to ride it again this trip after that, but of course I had to.

We got soaked on the first ride that morning...just timed it right to get every splash they could throw at us, but the second time it wasn't nearly as bad.

It was about 11am by this time and we needed to be somewhere by noon, so we grabbed some ice waters and headed out of the park.

I had planned to surprise D by being at POFQ when they arrived. She had no clue because we had been texting all morning and I told her we were eating lunch at MK at the time they were landing and boarding ME.

We went back to the Poly to grab our gifts for them. Then we took the Epcot monorail and a bus to POFQ. I was worried that we would miss them because our bus driver had no clue that her sign said POR/POFQ. Usually buses drop off at FQ first, then head to POR. But this one went directly to POR and around all of their stops then said that she was heading back to Epcot! Luckily a couple other people were on board for POFQ too and we spoke up. The driver had no problem taking us over there, she just wasn't aware it said both resorts on her sign. Thank goodness we were close enough to the front to hear her say she was going back to Epcot or we would've made a round trip.

So we finally got to FQ and turns out we didn't have to worry because D and the girls had just missed the ME cut off and had to wait for the next bus. So we had plenty of time to sit and wait. And wait. And wait.

The lobby at French Quarter.

I was so hot, tired and hungry that it didn't even occur to me that I should take Sara and Bradey outside to see how beautiful POFQ is. Bradey had been there before when we toured it for breakfast one day, but he didn't remember it. And Sara had never seen it. Still hasn't seen it because I was a total idiot that day. We just sat in the lobby and waited for D's bus.

I was texting with Mo to see where D was because I knew she would get suspicious if I kept asking. Finally they arrived. It was fun. She had no idea. I tried to keep out of the way. I knew they would be tired from traveling and would want to check in and put their bags in the room.

That's what they did. We of course said hello and hugs all around. Their room was ready and they headed over to put their bags away and refresh a little. We went to Sassagoula Floatworks to get some food and a table for all of us.

The line was so incredibly slow again for us that D, A & V were back before we even paid! Anyway....

I had the pulled pork Po'Boy

It was fabulous. Yum yum yum!

Sara had a veggie burger...again...

She enjoyed it. And Bradey had the quesadillas.

This is one reason I don't do the dining plan. Bradey eats more like an adult and children's meals just don't cut it. The lady at the food counter made sure I knew this wasn't a kids meal....although I was under the impression that QS credits didn't matter if they were adult or child. So why did she bother with telling me that. I told her, "I know, we aren't on the dining plan" and she kind of raised her eyebrows at me and walked away. Bleh.

Anyway....so we got our food and grabbed a big table since Tasha was also eating lunch with us. We had a great time chatting away with everyone. D had made Bradey a character signature pillow case which just about made me cry. It was so sweet of her to do that for him! I know how busy she is with her bags and I feel so honored that she took time out of that for my little guy! He also got a few coloring books and fabric markers for his pillowcase. I think it was about 2pm by now and we had a big ADR at 6, so we decided to head out.

D - How on earth did we not get any pictures??? I know you have the shot of all of us at the table, but we didn't get any pics in the lobby?? Geesh, and we call ourselves DISers!

We took the bus to the Magic Kingdom then the monorail back to the Poly. Sara and Bradey went out to the quiet pool and I stayed in the AC to write in my journal.

Around 5 we headed out for one of my favorite must do ADRs....where??? Well I think we need to leave that for next time.

Great update, Suzi. Love the photos of Bradey with Peter Pan...you can see that they are having a very serious conversation.

That was so nice of you to go meet D, A and V when they checked in at POFQ. And how like D to make Bradey a gift. :goodvibes

That looks like a great spot to view the welcome show... We will have to try that location next time - since we are one of those who always smash in like sardines...

This was such a memorable thing... I mean, literally, the girls and I walked into FQ - and my eyes just found Suzi - it was soooo cool and I was sooooo excited! To walk into your resort and see one of your best friends- it was AWESOME! Again - thank you so much for taking time out of your day to come and welcome us to WDW. :grouphug:
