I´m only 5 weeks into my pregnancy but I have had severe heartburn for the last 3 days. I can´t remember ever getting heartburn this early during the other pregnancies. Hoe about you?

I did really early in the pregnancy. It was so bad with my second child and it started right around 4-5 weeks. I never was able to find anything that helped....sorry.
OMG. I laughed so hard I almost p*** my pants. I kept reading my post over and over again wondering how you came to the conclusion that I called you that. I´m soooo sorry.
That was my first symptom. I've never had heartburn before and I thought something was seriously wrong. I haven't had it again since those first few weeks.
I didn't even catch that reading it the first time. Too funny!
I had really bad heart burn and acid reflux during my last pregnancy and it started very early on. I was so sick too. I really had to change my eating habits. I really hope this passes for you and you don't have it the entire time.
Good Luck!
With Mason I had horrible heartburn and ended up having to have my gallbladder removed at 17 weeks. My OB referred me to a Gastroenterologist who put me on Prevacid twice a day and it worked wonderfully!
I went the over the counter route first - tums, rolaids, zantac, etc... and nothing helped until the Prevacid and it would only work if I took it consistently twice a day.
The more liquids I drank the more heartburn I had too.
With my older girls I had heartburn later in the pregnancy but not in the early months.
Yes, it started earlier with each pregnancy. With my last it started before I even knew I was pregnant. I lived on Pepcid Complete and slept sitting up.
with dd no, with ds YES. and i was working in a god awful hot office and could'nt even tolerate ice water. only thing that helped was packages of hard unflavored bread sticks (not the doughy kind, the crisp kind). they seemed to absorb the acid-and at least i could keep them down.
I did!! It was horrible. I took Zantac every single day from the moment I found out to the day I had her. I could eat Indian food without a problem - water is what did me in everytime. Go figure.
wow that's gotta suck getting it so early on, what does your doc say? My heartburn started at about 20 weeks and is terrible now. My OB suggested Zantac75 which helps some but I still have 3 bottles of Tums smoothies scattered around the house for when it gets really bad. Before the Zantac I thought I was dying, I was getting heartburn from water or from taking my vitamins and had acid up in my throat and mouth all the time, it was so gross.
