I need help with directions or a recipe on how to make the perfect mojito. I have tried and I think I am doing it wrong. How do you make them?

This is from a recipe on a menu of a restaurant I have eaten at. Is this what you are using?

BACARDI Superior, fresh mint, lime and cane sugar

They make mojito mix, not sure how good it is but I saw it at Party City if you have one where you live.

I like Friday's Mix, in fact I just picked some up for this weekend.

You can go to the premium rum websites for recipes, but I like the mix better.

Good luck!

Do you get that at the package store? Does it already have the rum in it?

Rose's makes a good mix. You have to add your own rum. When we use it, we doctor it up a bit.

what is off about your mix? What are you doing now?

We just muddle the lime juice, sugar and mint. Add rum and top with the club soda.

We took cane sugar, mint leaves and a lime slice and crushed it lightly. then added bacardi and club soda. It just didnt taste like the restaurants do it. I love raspberry ones. How could I make those? Nan you would drink those too!

Here is the recipe I use:

2 tablespoons (1 ounce) fresh lime juice
2 heaping teaspoons superfine sugar
1 cup crushed ice
12 fresh mint leaves, plus 5 small sprigs for garnish
1/4 cup (2 ounces) white rum
2 tablespoons (1 ounce) club soda

In a glass, stir together lime juice and sugar until sugar dissolves. Add mint leaves and muddle until the leaves are broken up and the oils mix in with the sugar. Add 1/4 cup crushed ice. Gently stir for 15 seconds, then add rum, remaining crushed ice, and club soda. Gently stir for 5 seconds, then tuck mint sprigs into top of glass and insert tall straw.

And a picture:

If you want to make a raspberry mojito, all you need to do is buy the raspberry flavored rum and sub it for the white rum. Cruzan makes it, and probably bacardi does too. You could also crush some raspberries with the mint leaves and add some fresh raspberries to the finished drink as a garnish to fancy it up. ;)

More lime. Depending on how big your glass is you'll need at least the juice of 1/2 a lime. I have a lime press that I use.

I think some places use powdered sugar or simple syrup.
