Mojito Monkey Mama's 2 cont'd

Pooh, no one in their right mind wants to drive to MK. :rotfl: At least that is my experience. It is too much of a hassle to get from the park to the car lot etc. Just as easy to take the bus. You can sometimes grab a bus to DTD and even with the transfer it can take less time, trouble and or walking. Sharing a cab with others is an option too. I often make ressies at a monorail restaurant and then I have a less crowded bus. I am so slow that I usually get a late bus any old way.
Hey, wait a sec... I drive to MK.

I agree its difficult navigate @the World...we have GPS in the car and some of the roads on Disney property aren't even on it! But I still think you could figure it out! :thumbsup2
We have always used Disney transportation when we are there...is it that much quicker to have a car (dealing with parking and shuttle to & fro main gates???) One morning my DH took a cab to AK because he missed the bus with DS & I. A cab was sitting in front of Pop and took him to AK for $8...and he beat us there! So I might grab a cab if I were running late for an ADR or something....(We have a dinner ADR @Artist's Point I might suggest us grabbing a cab for if we are short on time since there is not easy to get to WL from Pop via Disney transportation. )

I down loaded a great program onto my GPS from the transportation board.. It gives you all the right direction in WDW and all the market, gas stations, restuarants..etc in the whole area.. Just do a search on gps and you should find it easy enough:woohoo:

Hey girls!! Can y'all slow down, I just had to read thru 10 pages to catch up!! Yep, that's right, a Canadian girl saying y'all. I just got back (2 weeks ago) from Nashville where I spent a week with my sis and b-in-law who are southern.
Linda! I didn't know you were going solo on this trip!! This will be such a relaxing vacation for you!! Believe me, I know, my Dad was very similiar to things you've said about hubby. Dad has passed away now and Mom is travelling the world! I'm so glad to hear that everything medically is OK, too bad they didn't find something curable tho'.
Poohbear! I'm so afraid to drive around there too! I'm perfectly happy riding the bus.
Mom2evie, I LOVE the luggage myself! DD is gonna go crazy when she sees it!
Bonz, I can't believe kids are back to school already!! We have 3 weeks left and kids are in no hurry for that. You gave up on the homeschooling?
Ants, Timmie, I just rebooked my rooms for Dec. They have 86.00 a night AP rates for rooms. Have you ever heard of such rates at holiday time?? Have you booked anything?
Welcome to the new posters in our crazy little thread!

Uhmmm, FF... I think you're proving her point, not making a good case against it.

This reminds me of a joke, "They say 1 out of 4 people is crazy. Look around at three of your friends. If they're not crazy, I've got bad news for you."

Had a fabulous Saturday, mostly family stuff. I mailed a Disney care package to my BFF in preparation for our trip. DD & I spent a bit over an hour at the pool. Then we headed home to quickly change clothes, grab DH & head to Busch Gardens with friends (they have son in DD's class). We've lived here for 10 years and had never made it up there. Overall it was a fantastic experience but I had to force myself to not constantly compare it to the World. The first thing we did was watch a show in Ireland. What a stupid show! It was 20 minutes of my life that I'm never going to get back! We were all quietly debating walking out about halfway through. Of course, that would have been rude, so we stuck it out.
We got DD to ride on a log flume ride with two pretty big drops. She didn't do any roller coasters, but if it lifts you up & spins you around, she'll be in THAT line. We rode a suspension roller coaster called Alpingeist. It did so many loops & twists that when we got off, I was walking like a drunk. I just read that it reaches 67 mph and at one point, we dropped 170 feet. What was I thinking?!?!?!?! This page takes you to some ride video. http://www.buschgardens.com/BGW/alpengeist_news.html
We walked out when the park closed at 10pm but we stood in the parking lot talking for about 30 minutes, waiting for traffic to clear out. DD was totally wiped out, but managed to walk into the house & crawl into bed under her own power. Today, she woke me up asking if we could go to the pool today.

M2E, you said exactly what I thought about Figment driving to the world. :lmao: I would never find my car in the lot if I drove over there. I have driven to FW for lunch. Things look different in the dark. I love those red and purple signs except at night they are not visible, to me. I only drive places I know at night. Disney spoils you for everything. The world would be a better place if it were run by Imagineers.

Jan, yep, going on my own. Hoping things work out as the lady who is planning on going with me has a sick dad in TN. I am coming no matter what though. Did not say I do not have health problems just not found one they can fix, yet. :confused3

Timmie, burning the candle at both ends is the way you get your tail feathers scorched. I listen for five hours, on the phone, late at night. People tell me all their problems and then I have a grandson who likes to stay up late and I am the only person he knows who stays up as late as he does. He sometimes is watching TV and just has me on the line listening too. He has done this since he was a baby and he is now 17.

More bushes and weeds to take care of today. Have to get the yard in shape this week so I can get the house in shape next week. No wonder I am so out of shape, no time. :scared1:

OMG!!! I'm gonna just miss everybody again!!!! Are you guys avoiding me or something, LOL! I'm going 19 to 22. I can't wait to see the gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian.

This is just for you Jan!

BTW, since I have been told that only the areas of Canada nearest the US borders are heavily inhabited parts of your country is likely that you ARE Southern! Southern Canada but Southern!
