well I was trying to get a better price for you on a rental through enterprise and enterprise just bought out some of the other car rental places and my person told me to just book through those guys it would be just as cheap.

I don't know my way "driving" around there esp. from the Airport. I hate driving around the airports.

really easy!!!!!!!!!!!! if you get car from the airport.. just get out of the parking lot.. follow that loop.. 528 west.. then 4 west... and exit 64 is POP!!!!!!!!!!

if it is interprise... right at their lot... 1st junction is 528 west... to 4 west!!!!!!!!!! and in the world.. you dont even need anything.. just follow the purple signs..LOL I used to memorize the street.. now ...I just follow the signs.. worst come to worst I will be just driving the scenic route

going back is the hardest for me.. since I am crying and misses her turn... lol well if ever you change your made.. there is also alamo or enterprise .. not sure.. to Dolphin/Swan which is walking distance to BW !!!

You ladies exhaust me and it's only 9:30AM!!! All this back & forth and I only understand about half of what you guys are talking about. Timmy, you aren't making a career change to CastMember or character, are you? And seriously, it's got to be about 3 weeks before you leave but you're packing already? I'm totally AR about packing and I haven't started yet either!

Oh hey, I did buy DD a surprise. I got her a new suitcase & carry on for the trip. Lately she's been squawking about being a big girl now & wanting less of a "baby room". First, she doesn't have a baby room at all but she does have lots of Disney Princess decor in the room. She wants to have a Hannah Montana Room. Since she was about 2 years old, she's used a small Disney Ballerina Princess suitcase. So, I bought her a HM suitcase & carryon from the Disney Store Online. She's gonna flip out!

crzykid, I hope that you favorite ice cream was not vegetable. Where do they come up with these questions? In my day it was about being to work on time, education and such. I hope you get the job. Convenience is better than cash sometimes and in this case it seems that you would save more than it will cost you. I think that there will be many such job changes and for the same reasons. The suburbs will not look so good either.

Timmie, if we could hook you up to the energy grid we would solve all our problems.

Pooh, they do not rent cars on site at Disney? I can tell you how to get around property, most places. I have a GPS too. I think many rental cars have them now also. If all you need is a grocery run I can help you with that one.

its getting from the airport to Pop which scares me the most and then driving around shouldn't be that bad i don't think. Maybe I will just do my normal and hang on the buses

LOL I wish.. but till I finish all the bills in town... I wotn be able to do CM at WDW... and cannot even do seasonal at all you have to be FL resident to do that

Pooh, I am willing to bet that the road is well marked from the airport to DW. You could even mapquest it for exact directions but I bet they have printed sheets at the airport. Have you checked to see if they do rent cars on site or nearby? Is it worth it for the cost to have a car? Many of us will have cars and you can probably catch a ride with someone many places. If you are going to AK or MGM on the days I am I will take you. I do not drive to the other parks. The main road is the one that ends at the AS and it is just outside POP. It will take you most of the places. I have even been known to drive to EPCOT during the day. The problem with driving at DW is that you are on the road with all these tired guests who do not have a clue as to what they are doing either and accidents happen.

I agree its difficult navigate @the World...we have GPS in the car and some of the roads on Disney property aren't even on it! But I still think you could figure it out!
We have always used Disney transportation when we are there...is it that much quicker to have a car (dealing with parking and shuttle to & fro main gates???) One morning my DH took a cab to AK because he missed the bus with DS & I. A cab was sitting in front of Pop and took him to AK for $8...and he beat us there! So I might grab a cab if I were running late for an ADR or something....(We have a dinner ADR @Artist's Point I might suggest us grabbing a cab for if we are short on time since there is not easy to get to WL from Pop via Disney transportation. )

You can sometimes grab a bus to DTD and even with the transfer it can take less time, trouble and or walking. Sharing a cab with others is an option too. Timmy<=== has not been on the Mouses Bus but for one time... the 1st year/time ME was offered... then on a bus to DTD and that experience almost made her quit the Mouse I maybe be broke.. I will give up food and souvies but will never give up her car at the World...

Car <=== very good perk esp'ly when you are in a dismeet.. and a bomb was dropped on your lap.. you have a very good excuse to get up and go really .. honestly... $hit happens...LOL

Hey girls!! Can y'all slow down, I just had to read thru 10 pages to catch up!! Yep, that's right, a Canadian girl saying y'all. I just got back (2 weeks ago) from Nashville where I spent a week with my sis and b-in-law who are southern.
Linda! I didn't know you were going solo on this trip!! This will be such a relaxing vacation for you!! Believe me, I know, my Dad was very similiar to things you've said about hubby. Dad has passed away now and Mom is travelling the world! I'm so glad to hear that everything medically is OK, too bad they didn't find something curable tho'.

have not booked anything yet.. dates keep on changing.. 1st it was 6th to 9.. then 11th.. now I think it will be 6th to 14th if I can get away with it...(all depending on how hard I work and if mom flies in then it will be a shorter trip) when are your dates in December???

Ohhhhhhhhhhh and I am on my day 5 clothing and soooooooooo excited.. I finally can wear the skirt that I wanted 3 yrs ago

Pooh: Airport to WDW is very easy. - Getting around - also easy.
I also recommend the no driving to MK. When are you coming in?
Also once you get in give me a call if you need anything.
(Lost/directions etc. )

I filled the suitcase for the 1st time with nothing but clothes.. usually this little suitcase can fit all I need from cleaning stuff .. sheets... daily clothes.. shoes and more but as I am trying to semi pack... I dont know where these clothes all came from.. I try one on.. it match it get bag and place in the suitcase.. half a day later LOL someone save me !!!!!!!!!!

Flying Southwest who hasn't imposed fees for baggage (yet) but I might still ship a box full of Diva stuff before we leave.
