Thanks for all the good thoughts about my grandson. He went to school yesterday and had to take his meds to the nurse's office and was not told to go home. "Good as gold"? (tiggerx3)

Now, I love that boy and he is not a bad kid but not quite that good. Cannot play the piano either.
Bonz, I am glad that most of your distractions are good ones especially that your mom is not going to have to go through more 'stuff'. Bet she is over the moon about that too! I hope you get that extra day because if you are worn out when you first get there you just never get caught up and ending up losing days. I know.
tiggerx3, my research would say that if you have never had Chicken Pox you should not get shingles however you MIGHT have had a very slight case and not have known it. I recently had 'Shingle'. ONE, singular. They gave me the meds and it disappeared with the first pill. About the third pill I had an acid experience. Thought I was having a stroke it was so bad. I do not have drug reactions. Scared me to death.
DivaKristin, I have heard of such parties and thoroughly agree with them. Anytime you can plan an illness it is a good thing, more control. I remember when the whooping cough went through my family, one at a time. We had 8 kids. No sleep for months.

Unless a child has problems I believe it is good for them to get some germs and be a bit tougher for when something else comes along. Much better the take with babies of today than the secluded ones of the past but then the past had far worse things than we do now.
Mom2Evie, your friend had t hem for years?

I had read that a couple of weeks is common for young folk. I hope so.
Pooh, did your laptop get bent, spindled or mutilated in the fall? I hope not. I have heard they are fragile. I have never tested that theory out though.
I have much to do today as tomorrow I will be at the hospital. My husband is excited because he wants to eat at his favorite place afterward. Timmie, will I be able to eat after and endoscopy and Bravo Probe? Not that it matters.
