In honor of those who gave their lives

Happy Memorial Day.

Man there is a whole lot going on here for a bunch of 'boring' folks.

MomtoEvie, WTG!!!!! Somehow I had figured that something of the sort would happen and I am so proud of you for telling them what you want and need and not backing down. It sure says a whole lot about YOU! :thumbsup2

janjandis, how wonderful of you to drop by. I hope you do it more often so I will not be apt to FORGET you again! :rotfl:

Wic, how awful. To have your car stolen and right from your own driveway is an even bigger scare. Did it happen to be the one with the best gas mileage? I hope you get it back, soon and unscathed. Do you own a video camera? I would put it in your window and tape what is going on for awhile and see if they do not return to the scene of the crime. I have done so and it is very effective but I only had petty crimes to deal with and when the parents saw the evidence it quickly stopped.

Bonz, I am a good painter. We should have a painting party one of these days. I am slow but very neat and I do not charge.

Pooh, you are going to get in trouble as I do sometimes if you do not remember to put smilies on some of your comments. Those who do not know me do not realize that I sit here, typing away, with a grin and my tongue stuck firmly in my cheek and sometimes take my remarks for other than intended. :) :rotfl: :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 :cool1: :lmao: :goodvibes

Timmie, what a nice picture and reminder. Thank you. You are one of the most thoughtful folks I know and I know many. :lovestruc

GlendaMax, I hope that I can survive long enough to get to meet you at the MK EMH. Probably can since I am smart enough to rest all that morning so that I can party all night. :yay:

Figment, maybe you need to get a job that requires you to be on the Internet all day? Might take the fun out of it though. :rolleyes1

No big plans here for the holiday weekend either and I do not want any. I have hooked up the TV upstairs that still has an antenna so that dh can lay up there to watch the cars go round and round and I plan to lay on the couch, watching Netflix, in between chores.

Which post are you implying too Ms. Linda???

Good morning Pooh!

I was just worried about the post about Vixie. I would not want you guys to have a misunderstanding. If you wrote that about me I would grin cause it would be true, so true. :rotfl:

oh no I don't think she would think that at all. I know the reason why she isn't posting right now but if you say the wrong thing on the boards you get band so I don't want to say anything either way:lmao:

Thanks Pooh, I was worried there for a minute. I have an odd sense of humor so I take most things in stride but did not want Vixie to get her feelings hurt or anything or for you either. :thumbsup2

I just cannot understand the fighting I keep hearing about. I have never been a part of it all and do not want to be. There is no rule that folks have to agree on everything and this is such a wonderful place to meet folks who all have one thing in common, their love for the Mouse and that is what matters.

Yup gotta to agree with you there Ms. Linda!!! No intent to hurt anyones feelings.

if anyone read the CB thread that the Mods post about why everyone was booted that should explain why (i think) certain people aren't posting as much they are just upset at that.

Pooh, I had not heard about that. The CB often does not come up in my window when I log on and except for threads that get moved over there I do not hang out there.

I have been lucky in all my years posting various places that I have only had two scary things happen. One was an animal activist who took issue when I mentioned that my dad hunted to feed all of us kids and then there was a lady on a trivia group I belonged to that had a mad crush on the leader and when he did not return her long distance love offers she sent viruses to everyone. Me, being the cautious kind, had not opened her email so I was alright.

Now I can understand some of the comments I have heard in passing. I hope the innocents get to come back and do. Thank you for the heads up. I just do not tend to see the dark side of life.

It's good to see people posting again this morning. I've been missing you all so much this week. I'm heading out rigt this minute to finish mowing the lawn. It's going to be a wicked beautiful day. I want to get this stuff out of the way before it gets too warm and so it doesn't interfere with my day.

cherylp3, could be, could be. I get around ya know! :rotfl2: Did I take a picture? Refresh my memory and I will check my files. I am like the FBI, I keep files on everyone, not for nefarious purposes but just cause I cannot remember. :rotfl:

Mom2Evie, I just finished our yard as well and am about wore out. Oh, to be YOUR age again. :worship:

SG

Cheryl, I could not find a picture of you and me, I usually snag them when I meet folks IF I am not in danger of falling over at the time, so I just snagged the great one you sent.:thumbsup2

I do not see how I could forget you two as you look so nice and friendly and frankly you and I look a whole bunch alike although I am much, much older. :rotfl:

I tend to remember stories though. Do YOU happen to remember the circumstances?;)

I note that you are a local you lucky folks!

Today was quite a busy day here. I did a couple of loads of laundry & mowed both the front & back yard. I grabbed a quick shower just in time to greet one of my husband's friends & his two children. They came down for the day & the kids played so hard, I dont know how they didn't just fall over. We all went to grab some lunch at Panera. DH & friend rode in one car. The three kids & I were in the other. How does that happen? The noise level was deafening, so I called hubby to share it. They just laughed & laughed! After they headed back up to Richmond, I straightened up & got ready for Evie's BFF Victoria to come over. She's here spending the night. We've played in the back yard, made a couple of crafts, ate dinner at a local Mexican restaurant & now they're playing dress-up whileI read/suf. Is it bed time yet? I didn't get much sleep last night, so I'm whupped! Of course, its my own fault. I just wanted to finish a little bit more of this book I was reading and eventually just finished it at 3:30AM. What was I thinking?
Tomorrow morning, the girls and I are making French toast & bacon for Victoria's Mom, who is my BFF here in Virginia. Our girls are only 9 days apart and have been to preschool, kindergarten, dance class, Disney, etc. together. I have pictures of them together from all the big events in Evie's life (birthdays, christening, choir, preschool graduation, dance recitals, awards ceremonies, etc.) They're close enough that they all too often fight like sisters. Luckily for me, they've been GREAT tonight. I wouldn't have changed a single thing!!

You're married to Superman? How cool! What's that like? It must be aggravating sometimes when you've worked really hard making a great dinner and he has to fly off to save some stupid damsel in distress. I know you must want to say, "Again? She should know better than to walk along the edge of the canyon. Can't the search & rescue people handle this one? Really honey, you have to stop saving them or they'll never learn to take care of themselves."
:yay: :cool1::yay: :banana: :yay:
Sorry, I couldn't resist. Is your hair naturally curly? I'm so envious! My hair is naturally perfectly boringly straight as uncooked spaghetti... and the color of dirty dish water. Sigh... Both of my sisters have beautiful curls. I guess you always want what you haven't got!

Hey PoohBear, Let me know how many slots you need me to add to my reservation at Tony's on 9/9 @ 5:35pm.
