Good Morning Everyone!

Hope you all had a nice weekend, mine....not so much!

My dog got hit by a truck on Sunday morning, and I saw it happen!

Peanut came home yesterday from the Animal Hospital, she's pretty banged up...but luckily no broken bones or internal injuries! Guess someone was looking over her Sunday morning!

First, great name for a dog. I love it. Second, I'm really glad to hear that she's okay. I probably would have LOST MY MIND if I'd seen one of my girls get hit. Our wonder-mutt is 12 years old and our lab is 11.5 years old. I've had them longer than my duaghter, my house, lived in Virginia, longer than I've been married, etc. They're my girls.

Kellie named Peanut site unseen....the only thing she knew was that she was brown!

"Peanut" is a 75 lbs Chesapeake Bay/Greyhound mix! We've had her for 5 years now, and the house was sooo quite without her Sunday! I was a mess, not knowing if she'd be able to come home again or not! The only thing I'm grateful for is the fact that Kellie wasn't outside Sunday morning when Peanut got hit!

Man, I can barely hear you guys over the crickets. Where is everyone today? Personally, I spent the day in the wind tunnel. I was testing out different ways to get things/people to Florida on the top of a car without negatively impacting the drag coefficient & aerodynamics.

So far, all experiments have been a failure and now my husband is missing. But I have a few more ideas to try and I'm going to need a few vounteers. Anybody want to loan me their husband?

Would it be okay if just gave him a quick once over with a whisk broom and then shipped him home? Although I must say, usually there is no debris left on the test subject after the wind tunnel.

Me, me, me, I volunteer my DH and my DS this week they have both sucessfully driven me crazy. If they get lost I promise to forgive you. lol I am sure Vixie will volunteer Donny as well. If you decide to do an actual driving test with them roped to the top of the car just make sure they brush the bugs out of their teeth before sending them home.

Have a long day today and busy doing a lot of catch up here at work and then have cat testing to do tonight. Trying to get the greys a home we have about 5 that have a home but just have to get cat tested to be approved now.

Oh great news Millions the other dog we brought back with us we are almost positive that he has a home already A couple came up on Monday and walked him and they fell in and he has to be of course cat tested and have his surgery (neutured sp) and then off to a new home Wow he wasn't there more than 2 weeks and I am on

Just thought I would share that with all of you animal lovers!!!

so how is everyones plans coming along and Have we come up with a new name to the thread so i can change it??? if there are a couple I will post them here and we can vote for one.

I am considering putting this house up for sale and buying a motor home that I can just park in doctor's parking lots. Would save a lot of time not to mention money to pay all the medical bills.

Pooh, I am delighted that you found Millions a good home. That has to be good news for both you guys and the new family.

WIC, it has to be an awful thing to see something happening to a loved one and not be able to stop it. It is the fear of my life. I am glad that it sounds as if all will be well with Peanut.

I headed out again shortly, yep, another doctor's visit. Just a follow-up for Tom's hernia surgery though. The most painful bit will be paying for the gas. For that I am thankful.

I think I will be home tomorrow and will catch up between chores.

Pooh, thanks for the concern but it is just the same old stuff. Just want some relief and I want it NOW!!!! Just makes it harder to deal with everything when I am not feeling well either.

Mom2Evie, my husband says he will be right over as lunch is something he knows how to do. BTW, what is for dinner?? How much training do you think a man needs when he needs to be told to pull up his underwear before putting on his pants - in the doctor's office? I also had to pull him out of the way of TWO cars today. I could not breath well enough to holler at him so I just grabbed him by his jacket and hauled back. There is not enough Calgon for this.

Some of my labs came back and they have not found anything horrible. I almost wish they would as then we might be able to do something. Word to the wise, do not get old. It is painful and not a whole lot of fun.

Out of a graduating class of 76 at least a third of them will NOT be getting diplomas. Sad state of affairs if you ask me. Grouchy tonight are I not??

I will be trimming bushes tomorrow so I will see a lot of you all. I need the rest.

Which David are you guys rooting for? I love them both!!

Just make sure there's no bugs on him and I'm fine with that. He's pretty well trained. Except when he's working on a car, then he forgets he has junk on the bottom of his boots.

Figment, if you are talking about your husband? I never have had a husband that young. The one I have now was 38 when I got him. I would figure that whatever one is at 30 was pretty much what you would have later in life too though.

I might be wrong though cause I ain't NOTHING like I was at 30, thank God!

Funny, I didn't realize you could "decline" a true calling from God. It isn't as if it's a collect phone call & you've made prearrangemnets to call right back. Don't you think that might piss him off a bit? I have to say, after having watched all those Charlton Heston style Bible movies or having read about Sodom & Gamorrah, the Ark, etc, I wouldn't want to make God angry. His wrath seems to be quite a site to behond.

My BFF & I will be wearing costumes. I'll be Minnie Mouse & she'll be Cinderella. Are you dressing up? Any idea what your cosutme will be? DD was Mulan last year but is refusing to wear the same costume this year even though I ordered it big. I bought her a black Vidia fairy costume (Tink's friends) because wanted to be a "vampire witch" I told her now she was a fairy witch & that would have to do.
