Talked to my BFF on the phone again tonight. She's really pushing for a Sept. trip. I'm thinking if I can swing it at all it would be Sept 11 through 16th 2008. For the two of us, its about $1000 plus airfare.The rumor is that free dining will open up near April 10th. I think I might book the damn trip and then convince him about it later. I just haven't decided about DD or not. It would be wicked cool to go down with just us grown up girls.
If I get offered & accept this new job, I'd be making $6.50 more per hour. I could bank every penny of that & pay for the trip. Any overtime would be time and a half. I'd have the resort/tickets friggin paid for in less than 10 hours of work, if it were just me.

I am just thinking about coming down for a few days now myself so we can have a bachlorette party with all my friends. What do you think???

Mom2Evie, I am sorry to hear that your new job is not doing what they promised. If you are otherwise pleased with the job maybe stating the fact that they are not living up to what you required when you took the job and are thinking of looking elsewhere (of course you might already have another job lined up just in case) might make them reconsider. You have not had this job long enough to lose much by moving on unless you move on and that does not work out well either. I would make sure any potential new employers know the reason you are considering changing jobs just in case they want to hire you under false pretenses.

That's exactly what I did today. I sat down with my direct report & told him the deal I was handed when I was hired. He wasn't aware of the flexibility I was promised. That being said, we still couldn't come to an agreement over what flexibility really meant. I even asked for some harder daily tasking & projects, but he declined. He doesn't want the team to take on more responsiblity, even when they now have mad skills.

I heard from my recruiter today. The new place loved, loved, loved me. They're supposed to be working out budgeting to make me an offer. Maybe I'll hear something by tomorrow. Of course, now I have to figure out what to do next. If I take this offer, when do I give notice? I'm supposed to be on vacation beginning the afternoon of April 4th. So, I give them notice, work one week, take a week and then work another week? That's just weird. I guess I'll have to see what they want me to do, huh?

Yes I found a thread about the problem after I started a new thread about this problem and they said that they were aware of the no notifications to all dissers and that they were working on it.

so what do you think about the Bachlorette Party at Disney I can use my free airline ticket and take a couple of days of vacation and come down by myself over a weekend???

Let me run that by hubby and Kellie....Kellie might get incredibly mad at me if I went to WDW without her, even if it was just for a weekend. But let me check!

No No Misunderstanding while everyone is on vacations I can come down and be there while you all are there too!!!!

We "girls" maybe can have a night out after a the fun of course or maybe all have dinner together or something!!

I am not big on the bars and crap like that so I ran this by Mike yesterday and he said okay.

I added a ticker for the September trip to my signature. Even though I don't have a reservation and haven't talked my hubby into being okay with the trip.... that still makes it official, right?

Rough day at work today. The closer I get to leaving, the more I want to go. My boss & team membes are so unpleasant sometimes. They insulted me and my best friends today and I'm not sure if they didn't realize it or didn't care. I think I'm beyond caring myself. I didn't get the offer today but my recuiter is still sure its coming. If I get this job, I'm going to WDW in September.
