DAprilFool, fun is relative. My friends are of long standing and I am delighted to be able to do small things for them. I just plain love them. Being a 'decent' woman I spent my life doing PTA and other child and home related things and with an antisocial and nightworking husband my social contacts were the widows of the town. It was either than or run the bars and I do not drink.

As a result most of my friends are twenty years or more older than I am. Few are alive nowadays and those that are need the help that they do not get from family. Dirty rotten shame too.

The upside is that I am the 'kid' with them at my advanced age.

Please let me know if your
Disney vacations are accepted as a tax deduction.
Mom2Evie, the peace and quiet got to you????
Pooh, I was delighted to hear your voice on my phone when I got home last night but I was not about to call anyone that late at night. You are a sweetheart.
Wic, I have decided to take my $600 that the government is 'giving' me and buying 6 savings bonds, one for each of my grandkids, since they will be paying for that largess in the future.
It is causing me a bit of pain thinking of those beautiful AP's moldering away and scant chance of them getting used again this year. It causes me more pain to think of all the work involved in going again now though. Maybe I could just pack a small bag and settle down along 1-65 complete with lime green outfit and maybe a DISer would pick me up and take me along.

My calendar is done plumb full though.
I have enjoyed being home today. I have gotten several things done and am in the middle of taping up the last of the DR so that I can paint it Friday. I have boxes and boxes of stuff to get rid of. I am going into semi retirement and am giving up dusting for Lent, Easter, Thanksgiving, Xmas and New Year, forever more.
Anyone in the market for nearly 35 years worth of Avon Christmas plates? Getting up and down the ladder to dust them is no longer in the cards. The man that they belong to does not even look at them let alone dust. You all should hear a scream this weekend when he realizes that they are not going back up. I bought earplugs.
Hugs and grins, SG/Linda
