Mojito Monkey Mama's 2 cont'd

The poor leutenant asked if it was an emergency, I think I said "h*ll yeah..there's water pouring in the house....find him now!" He found him, but then Shawn had to find someone to come and relieve him...it's not like he can just turn on an out of office response, like I can, and leave! :rotfl2:

Yes this is true!!!

hey did you notice we never have been reponded back to from our questions????

It just took me this past month to pay that off, BUT that's because Hubby gets zinged through the year with taxes and then we get a large refund back. Now, before anyone lectures- if we changed his tax forms to get the money DURING the year- we'd SPEND it! So instead, we get it back at tax time and do something with it- usually a bit more fun then paying directly on credit cards. But c'est la vie :(

I will admit to being a tad bit busy with painting and all today but I always check my computer on my many breaks and I just now found all these messages. Makes my night!! :thumbsup2

DisneyAprilFool, I promise you that you will never be sorry you paid off debt and when you finally get totally out of debt it is a feeling like you would not believe. It is freedom, total freedom!! We live mighty high on the hog on a relatively low retirement income and it is all due to not owing any money at all. When we go to Disney we can relax and enjoy knowing that when we get home there will be no big bills to pay off for the next year. Thank you for the kind words. That is so sweet of you and I would be glad to give you a hug any old time yourself. Maybe next year. :cool1: Being the grandma of an Austin and a Dalton I plumb think Orlando is a great name.:cheer2:

Pooh, you fell out at work? Did Mike go with you to the ER?? Maybe the stress just plain got to you. I hope so as it is always better to have a reason for such things. Did you get the headache and fall or the opposite? We care ya know??

Wic, you have made me more grateful for this wonderful house and its dry basement. Is your basement finished? Thank heavens for pizza places. I hope you can get it cleaned up without too much trouble. It is a hard way to do a spring clean though. BTW, I used to be 350 pounds and I will be 60 this year so I think of myself as a massive OLD lady sort of. :rotfl2: Actually, the truth it is I am still waiting to 'grow up' but secretly hope I never do. :dance3:

My grandson has a basketball tourney tomorrow and it is according to if they win or not how many games they will have. I am hoping to be there all day long, cheering my favorite player on!! :cheer2: When I get a chance I will try to post some pics of the room I am working on. Today was easier as I could stand on the bed to work. I just have second coats and trim to do now and then on to the next room. In a house this big when you finish the last room it is time to do the first one - again. sigh

Hugs from this skinny(ier) and not so very old lady, Linda

Yes Mike took me at 2 in the morning he was great about taking to the ER.

I was getting out of the car from lunch and put both feet on the ground and of course its all snow and ice and bom my feet went out from under me it my tailbone and butt and wrist and head so with in an hour or so I started to get a headache then by that night I was in total pain.

Side note Mike has taken every time to the ER that I have these headaches thank god though they are only once or twice a year that I go through those bad ones.

Wake up! Wake up! Only.... Uhhh... Oh, wait, I don't have a WDW trip planned this year :(

Well, some of you DO and you are a day closer to the World! LOL!

Ants,
How nice.

It was but a bit overwhelming too! Esp'ly wheN you dont know what you are doing :faint:

Ants, three dozen roses? You think just like me -funeral like. :rotfl2: I would also mentally figure up the cost and cringe but that is such a nice thought. The fellow certainly seems to have the good sense to know when he has a good gal and that is very promising. :lovestruc

Love, Linda Lou

I hope so.... LoL I am starting to enjoy the freebies...:lmao: :lovestruc

yes it has and it looks pretty good too. Mike and I went there in Dec. but it wasn't opened up at the time we wanted to eat that day it opened up later in the morning than we wanted to eat.

Good morning peeps... hope all is well with everyone... life is abit dragging right now.. must be the weather... :confused3

Here I sit, all frumpy and in disarray and I do not care one whit while some are sitting around enjoying a nice Sunday brunch. I say 'good on them' and hope to join them one fine day. Might be my reward in the afterlife though. I just about have the bedroom finished except for that irritating last inch up toward the crown molding. If you all could see me sitting here in all my paint stained glory you would run screaming for the Yeti in search of a more pleasant and relaxing sight. :rotfl2:

I have been informed, this very morning, that I am basically a selfish person who only does what she wants to do. The person who said this shall remain nameless mostly because I have decided that his name should be erased permanently if not the rest of his mortal remains. Even the great guilt I felt over this disclosure did not compel me to jump to when, a mere few minutes later, he inquired as to whether or not I could get the big screen fixed in time for him to watch some sporting event that is happening today.

Obla de, obla da, Life goes on!! :cool1:

Ants, nothing is free. Trust me, there is always a price to be paid somewhere along the line. That being said I still think you should stop and smell the roses and whatever you do never let them think that they did enough. Spurs them on to bigger and better things. Spoil them rotten early on in the game and all is lost, forever. As the Germans say "Too late shmart". :rotfl2: Every kid should have an aunt like yourself. Lucky kids. Lucky aunt.

DisneyAprilFool, I have seen mixed reviews but as with all Disney restaurants it is all according to your tastes. They have a CS outside where you could try a few of the offerings and see if they tempt you to spend the big bucks.

Pooh, have you gotten a time line for when this ring is expected to arrive? A special order ring would have to be unique, just like yourself. If I had not actually met Mike in person and thought him not only good looking but charming and did notice that he was attentive to you (I notice such things) I might not be as apt to believe him one of the good guys but a guy who will take you to the ER and be there to take care of you when you are sick and he is not contractually required to do so has possibilities.

I stink so I cannot wait to get done with today's work so that I can scrub up. I get to go back and play with the kids tomorrow and then have a school board meeting where I will continue to tilt against the windmills of the athletic department in favor of the educational department. Thank God for crockpots so I can have a hot dinner tonight. I may share it with "Voldemort". I may not. :rotfl:

Thank you for letting me so very evil. Folks around here think me sweet. Little do they know the evil that lurks within.

SG/Linda

Oh SG, You are so not the person you're ,I'm guessing, husband referred to you as! Maybe it's time for you to make him start fending for himself....go on strike, teach him a lesson! :rolleyes1 Some people just don't realize what they have until it's gone! :sad2:

You've got all of us here, we're more than happy to listen to you vent! :grouphug:

I've got the day off from work today, so I'm once again...cleaning up the basement! What a waste of a weekend!

WIC, trying to deal with my husband is like fighting smoke with a fly swatter. It plumb wears me out and has no effect on him whatsoever. Granted he has some real problems but what is real, what he knows he can get away with and what is just plain 'hormonal' (testosterone) is beyond my limited abilities to guess. Since I am the one who likes neatness and order and he could care less about anything going on strike would not create anything other than a big mess for me to clean up eventually. The only way of getting his attention is to stop feeding him or take his remote away. True, sad, but true. :confused3

Pooh, round these parts we refer to that as pulling a "Hank Snow". His most famous song was "Moving On". Might I ask if moving on would also mean the loss of a home as well as your job? I would not normally ask such a personal question but since we all care so much and I know you are capable of saying 'Butt Out" I am taking the risk.

I am taking it kind of easy today. Just some light housework, laundry and such. Just found out that the CC is closed today so I will not have children to read to today. Shucks, darn it. I was looking forward to that and I had some new books for them too. I make them listen to one NEW book for each old favorite otherwise I would read the same three books over and over and over and over again, not that I need the books anymore as I have them memorized. The book they like best is the one where I squash their little fingers between the pages with the 'sharp white teeth from the Big Green Monster". Silly I am but it works well with small children and DISers. :rotfl2: I do have a school board meeting to go tonight. I tilt at windmills in trying to convince them that a bit of education in between ballgames might be useful if only so that our athletes might be able to count all the big bucks they will earn when they hit the NBA, as they surely will. My contention that many of them will end up as forty somethings, sitting around, unemployed or underemployed, going over and over the game winning basket they made in sixth grade is surely unfounded. I am selfish as I am full aware that the students of today need good paying jobs in order to be able to pay the SS I hope to collect one day. I am no fool.

Yes that means I will lose everything AGAIN!!! I know but what can I say I am not willing to allow myself to go down that road again when that someone isn't going to commit to me but hopefully thats not happening here. I am going to the post office and Jewerly store now so i will see.

I am not getting notified again so if it takes me a little bit to get back to you all please forgive me.

OMG!!!!!!!!!! Linda!!!! where di that picture come from :rotfl2:

Well.. the HR manager was out today so I have to go 1st thing Tuesday morning which means I was not able to drop the bomb on them (the full time job) today/tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I can!! They got me so mad over the weekend that I was so close to just calling them and tell thme I QUIT! So far I have 2 job offers but really leaning towards this 3rd one for the simple reason it is way to close to my house 4.8 miles, no weekends = 3 day weekend at WDW and I am going to learn a new skill which will make me more marketable as I aged :rotfl: So tomorrow I will have to go back.. please keep me in your happy thouhgts.

And for the lovelife.. we are giving that a rest for now. We are in quiet mode right now.. I cannot deal with laundry and chores if I have my head in the cloud and texting/calling back and forth to him :thumbsup2 :lmao: so he is on the back burner for now.

OK time to start with this 3 loads of laundry !!!

:upsidedow
