Mojito Monkey Mama's 2 cont'd

Welcome Welcome Welcome:love: :dance3: we love newbies here!!!!

seeing that you will be there the same time we are all getting together on the for my bachelorette Party on the 7th at MK for EHM if you would like to join us we will be doing a savanger hunt all kinds of great fun for everyone. We will all be dinning at CM at 5pm and then going over to meet at MK so if your able please come and join us.

I second the welcome to the thread. :waves:

Zackie---(and POOHBEAR) I am soooooo sorry but, the limit on the invites to Have Fun and Help Celebrate Poohbear's Engagement is already exceeding what was planned for originally. Zackie, you are more then welcome to tag along but unfortunately wont be eligible for any prizes, etc., or other specialties already set in motion by myself and a few others.
If you need anymore information, PM me and I will get you on a standby list. I truely am sorry but any additions at this point will make it very difficult to do the things we would like to do due to space and supply issues.

No problem...I appreciate the invite. Likely I'd just stop by if I had the chance to put some faces to the names and get to know a little more about this board and its members. No prizes or anything needed for me.

With as often as I go to Disney, I would probably seem crazy to some - I've actually gone into parks without ever going on a single ride or exhibit...I've taken a Monorail from a resort to a park, then a boat from the park to another resort, then a bus to another park, then another boat to a 3rd resort, walked into another park, and taken a bus back to my resort...the whole day just visiting resorts, walking grounds, and riding boats and busses!

I have the absolute most laid-back, unscheduled, casual mode when I go to Disney...nothing could unsettle it or upset it!

This thread is so huge, I have absolutely no hope of ever reading all the posts in here! So I'm hopping right to page 183 and saying hi! Thanks Poohbear 67 for the link - I am finding myself very surprised at the number of people who are going to be up there around the same time. I guess these boards are so big, that odds are someone is headed up when you are!

Welcome! Welcome! Sorry I didn't post sooner, I've been buried at work and then took a day away from everything, even computers.

Vixie, you remind me of the door man at an exclusive club or the David Spade character from SNL, "And you arrrrre???? And this would be pertaining toooo????? Riiiiiiiightttt....""

I just returned from a nice little break from life & computers. It wasn't a long one, but it was great. I left work on Monday afternoon, grabbed my DD & headed up to Williamsburg, VA for the evening. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge with a friend & her kids. It was super fabulous! I did think about you guys though, about 2 pm when I was stretched out on a lounger in the sun, sipping my margarita on the rocks. DD & I headed home about 5pm on Tuesday, both totally wiped out!

zackiedawg, welcome and I am glad to meet someone else who finds the WED way a great way to spend time at Disney too! I often ride it round and round several times in a row. Only if it is not busy though. I is hard for me to get on and off some rides so I often ask for second helpings and often get them. My favorite time to ride is at night so I am hoping to be able to do so on the 7th when we will all be at MK for EMH. :thumbsup2

Pooh, not answering the phone huh? I would comment but best not. :rotfl:

MV, if you find yourself one short with the gift bags you can skip me. I am easy to get along with no matter what my kids think.

I am cooking a nice lunch for a friend's birthday today. Parm Chicken, veggies and blackberry cobbler. Should have seen me in the days when I used to COOK!

Ms. Linda we were with his Mom I don't think that would be nice:scared1:

Blackberry cobbler now your making me hungry!!!

Friday night, Sept 12th, does anyone have seats for us for dinner at MK? I remember Pooh had Tony's but I think she cancelled those.
We were going to do a CS dinner, but now might be looking for TS. We're doing the MNSSHP, so MK is what would work for us.

They can call it Tomorrowland Transit Authority, but it's always WEDway to me! Hard to forget the original Disney names and rides when you've been going since the park opened.

Peoplemover has always been a favorite ride in Disney, even back in the E-ticket days. It's like a great Apertif...in between lots of walking, riding, spinning, eating, and sweating everywhere else in the park, you can jump on the WEDway and catch a nice breeze in a comfortable seat with your legs up and get a bird's eye view of the park, people, and rides. There's rarely a line, so requests for second go-arounds are usually fulfilled. After I've gone around a few times, I'm ready to jump on a few more rides or some more long walking!

Stop, you're making me hungry and I have another hour to lunch.

I love the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. I think we need to get an afternoon nap on the TTA group together for the 7th. ;)

Nancy, I have no idea what you mean. 'What' would not be nice?

Mom2Evie, I have room for more at Tony's but it is on the 8th. I had thought that maybe Pooh and Ants might want to join me as we will be watching the parade that night.

Just put the blackberry cobblers in the oven. I made a smaller one for him to take home with him as he is a bachelor and does not cook anything that does not have to be opened with a can opener. He is the son of my best friend of many years and he and his sister have adopted me as 'family'. They are very nice to me. His sister is a Disney nut that would put all of us to shame. They have a second home at The Villages and spend about half their time there so that they can visit DW often.

Ants, I do not care for grapefruit might I substitute steak instead? :worship:

hahahaha well next time we plan a trip.. I might get a 2 day stay at SSR... so we can all sit down and enjoy some steak on a barbieee :lmao: So as soon as we get back.... check your calendar and tell me when we are going back...:goodvibes

Ants this trip might the last Howrah for a bit. I have two c/d's that come due in September and the interest rate on one of them is going from 7% to a bit above 2%. The only available wiggle room is in the vacation budget. I am doing the math and it does not bode well for a trip next year. Of course, I have said similar things and we still were able to go. Trouble is that if the interest rates go up so do the prices. Been there, done that but this time I am on the other side of the fence.

BTW, is that picture what you cooked yourself for lunch? I would not think so of most but with you it is possible. :worship:

Speaking of next year....

First, have any of you guys heard for sure that they'll be offering bounceback? If they do, are any of you going?

Second, if they do offer bounceback for next year, we'll have to move our trip from mid September to late August, before DD school starts. Likely it will be the very last week of August or the first week of September. Labor Day falls on September 7th next year. I'm not sure if we want to be there the week & weekend leading into Labor Day. Would it be more crowded that week?

I was there first year of free dining (2005) for the last week of August into Labor Day. The parks were pretty quiet up until Friday of Labor Day weekend. Then all the locals went for the weekend. Apparently Labor Day weekend is the first day that isn't blacked out for a Florida Resident Season Pass.

The UK had free dining offered, but it's only the counter service plan. idk if free dining is such a good value for CS plan. I'm not a huge fan of the hassle of getting food and table. (which is why I upgraded to DxDDP)
