Okay, let me make an example.

I've been reported for the most benign things. Simply because some posters don't like me. I've been reported for a misquote. If that can put things into perspective for you.

Now, I think we all remember the Hall Of Fame ordeal that I put us all through recently. I got reported by 5 or 6 posters, to a moderator, for doing that. Now, if another moderator, from another forum, came along, not knowing anything about the posters that reported me, and not knowing anything about me, they would think that I was doing something to upset people. Luckily, a TB mod got the report, and I didn't get banned. Which, I could have if someone had misunderstood the situation.

That is why it is important to have moderators who are part of the forum moderating it.

I see your point. But I have also been harassed by "forum" moderators. I would get my posts deleted simply because this moderator didn't like me. Sometimes, having just "on-forum" mods taking care of things isn't the best. If you were reported because people didn't like that Hall of Fame thing, it must have offended people and therefore was reported because of that. This board is supposed to be friendly for everyone and just because the idea was very popular, doesn't make it completely right. "What is popular is not always right and what is right is not always popular."

The teen board has been fine lately. We don't need new mods right now. Obviously if a teen mod got the report, they are here. We have active mods and your post only supports that.

Don't get me wrong, I understand what you are saying because I have been reported by people who simply do not like me on other forums also. But the TB is fine right now. No need to bring in extra mods when it is unnecessary. The report button works. You are still here, so obviously the system works. If you were being reported by so many people and the mods/webmasters listened to all these reports as if you are an evil person, you would be banned right now. Unless, the TB mod got all of these reports...then that only supports another issue in benefit to the TB.

I'm here a lot more than I should be. I check the TB every day. and from my perspective, it is more than necessary to get a new mod in here.

Yes.
But the thing is, we've been trying forever and gotten no where. People have almost gotten banned over it.
Honestly, don't hold your breath over this. It's most likely not going to happen.
