I am not saying that i did win it but on the list about 1/4 of it a CL_'s every week.... now if a 1/4 of the vmk population was CL_'s then i would under stand but there is not 1,000 CL_'s

Methinks you doth complain too much. I'd think you'd be happy for any
player chosen to win, regardless. Can't we be happy for others without
making it about how "unfair" it might seem?

Some people might start to complain about me since I won two types of
best rooms. If I win again, it would hurt my feelings if someone posted,
"BriarLori won AGAIN! That is SO no fair!!! Staff must favor her!!!"

I hope that puts it into perspective.

Well you have offened me dearly and ruined my day, I hope you are proud. I still stand by what I said, staff favors CL's because they are higher rank then others. Everyone in the game has a rank, it's just like a high school, you have the popular kids (who are mostly the people who are CL's and others who have lots of "rare" items), the nerds, the "goths", and the stuck up people.

But, you're forgetting the down side to being a CL. Yes, there is one.
People THINK CL's get special privileges, or that they should give free
items to players, as if CL's aren't regular players.

They also get hit with a TON of friend requests and trade requests.
(Heck, I get those, too....but I'm sure it would be higher if I were a CL.)

And if they don't answer the question fast enough, ungrateful players will
abuse them. Or the players won't leave the CL alone after the question
was answered.

So to me, there is a downside to having the badge and the CL_ title.
I'd rather answer questions and help people as a "regular" player without the
burden or the pressure of being a CL.

And Staff? They have it WORSE than CL players, as they are ambushed
by players the moment they enter a room. I give them credit for being
extremely patient.

all I've seen in VMK over the course of a year, I have no desire to be one.
Kudos to you leaders for your patience with people.

And I dictionary dance too much. I can't help myself. I even "dance"
the monorail warning in Spanish.

Haha! I "glove" the dictionary dance, however being a CL I was lucky enough to get a little warning reminder to not dance the dictionary as it's not setting a good example to the other players! LOL There is another privelege we CL's get.
Friends lists are ALWAYS at max. Do other players get angry and think I'm lying when I tell them this? You bet!
Oh, btw. I did win best guest room once. It took me 10 months of playing vmk to get that award. Do I feel I earned it? YES! Did I have an advantage by being a CL? Uh, if waiting 10 months is an advantage, then hey! I guess so! LOL
Please, stop all this anti-CL stuff on the forums. I see it all the time and it's gotten very old. Most of my friends are non-CL. Some of them have won best room awards, too. Many more than once! (BriarLori...) Heh.

Every week? Uh, not exactly true. But I'll let that slide and ask you this: Were those rooms undeserving of an award?

Can anyone answer this question?

For best quest, do the staff members actually complete the quest? How can they tell much from a description of the room or quest to judge it? I have been on many quests which sounded great but were just a rehash of the basic quest questions. I would hope the entire quest was being judged.

To me Communtiy Leaders are normal players and i dont think they get special treatment sure they have staff on there list but oh well. Once my friend said there was this amount of people and this amount of community leaders and i thought community leaders are not people? but they are.

just an idea: if it seems the majority of winners are CLs (not saying they are or aren't) because they are more known to vmk staff, you should have a best dis room contest. anybody on the dis can sign up, and we can pick a new room winner each week. this way, everyone who wants to be accknowledged can have their rooms prided upon, but i don't know what you'd do about prizes.

Lately it does seem like a lot of CLs have won the best room awards. But I also remember when it seemed like Dis people won most if not all of the awards for a while. BriarLori and I won awards in the same week. I believe at least one other Dis member won that week too. At the time, the Dis seemed to be on a streak of winning the awards.

If we had had DIS_ in front of our names, I'm sure people would have noticed and felt that we were getting preferential treatment from VMK staff. I don't think we were and I don't think CLs are getting it now. It just seems like it because those two letters make them stand out on the page.

Especially my bear protection room. Doubt there are too many sanctuaries out there to protect the bears from being walked on. Here they are enjoying there wonderful sancturary.

I would love to see your bear sanctuary. Post when you are in it.
