Mods: Is it time for a new pet-friendly sticky?

Or maybe re-open the old one for people to add current info? The most current post in the old sticky is 9 years old. I'd be happy to post what I've learned on a trip and a half, and I'm sure others would share as well. (I'm considering my pending trip the half--I've researched and planned, but haven't put it into action, yet!)

Great idea. We just got a dog and and now have to consider what to do if we bring her with us.
