Modifying Lightning Lane

I have booked lightning lanes in advance of our trip. I booked three originally, and now want to change one to another ride, and also an earlier time. For some reason, although it shows that the early time (e.g., 9AM, right at park opening) is available, when I tap in to actually try to change my time, it will only show later times available to choose. Also, the new ride and time will not overlap with my other remaining rides/times which are later. Am I doing something wrong, or does the app just not allow this type of switch? I'm afraid to actually cancel my original selection and book the new one because I don't know if I can get the early time.

No it is unfortunately it working as designed by Disney for advanced selections. Do you have any earlier LLMP selection in the morning that is what often causes the issue that you could move to later in your day? Or do you have a dining reservation within an hour?

On your "day of" park visit you will be able to "Modify" easier.

What if I cancel my first lightning lane altogether. Can I trust that when the app shows the "earliest time available" that this is true and it would then let me book that early time? There are no overlapping rides or dining at all.

Did you try going to the bottom and hitting Next or whatever it is to accept the change?

A few times for me it looked like I had to choose another later time but it was just listing additional times along with the one I chose to revise it to.

Oh, you are correct, I was just looking at at alternative times shown once I clicked on the ride. Yes, when I pressed "next" at the bottom, it did give the correct time as originally shown. Thank you so much!

I was so confused on modifying when we bought LLs that I ended up at a blue umbrella to figure it out (my issue was switching/modifying to a new park after I unlocked park hopping). It’s not a very user friendly “feature”.
