Modify placeholder online?

I used a placeholder to book a cruise, but may need to change cruise dates. (The new date is within the 24 mths.) I know that I will need to modify so I don't lose the placeholder. Can this be done online, or do I need to call? Thanks!

You can do it online as long as you only have one placeholder (ie, you didn’t get two and book two rooms.) I did it yesterday for a cruise where I just purchased one placeholder.

If you purchased two and booked two rooms you need to call.

Yes. Booked an entirely different cruise. Changed from June 26 to May 27.

If you used a TA to book your cruise with a placeholder, then she would have to modify the sailing, correct? Thank you!

Correct. Once a reservation is assigned to a travel agency, that agency must make any changes to the stateroom, guest names, sail date, and ground transportation associated with the reservation.

A cruise using a placeholder can be moved to a different date and keep the placeholder discount as long as the new cruise leaves within 24 months of the date the placeholder was purchased.

If a cruise using a placeholder discount is cancelled, the placeholder is lost.
