Modern flatware patterns..

The Oneida is definitely heavier than the Cambridge. For comparison I just weighed a large spoon of each, and the Oneida is 2.1 oz while the Cambridge is 1.6 oz. The Cambridge is also more bendable - like I think it would bend scooping ice cream and the Oneida probably wouldn't nearly as easily because I can't bend it with my hand. I don't think the Cambridge feels completely flimsy, though, because I never noticed how bendable it was until I tried to with my hands. (The things I do to entertain myself on a Saturday night....:rotfl:)

That’s really good to know, and what I was afraid of. Maybe I’ll have to go out and look at stuff in person.

Meriweather - I have both those patterns as well! I also inherited the flower one. I also have Winnie the Pooh flatware as well.

I noted that I use food service flatware, but I like Oneida Juilliard. That’s one I found in an odd and ends bin - actually a teaspoon, butter knife, and table knife.

Neesy, that looks similar to mine!!!
I think it is called La Femme, by Reed and Barton.
I have had it for decades, and still looks fairly good!
They made a great product!
