Moderators: This board seems off topic!

Thanks to everyone for their comments :)

No, we don't limit our topics to Disney/WDW, but I do feel that the information provided here is useful to many, many members of our community and that is truly the theme for these boards...to *help* one another save money, whether it is for Disney or otherwise. And, as several posters mentioned, if I can save a buck or two here or there, I will get to WDW that much quicker, woo hoo :cool1:

I do appreciate the OP's comments about this being a Disney related forum and Robinb's comments about being more descriptive in the subject line. As maggiew mentioned, a relatively new feature of the boards is the ability to pre-view a message by placing your cursor over the subject line. You can see the first few lines of the original post which, hopefully, will give you enough information to decide if you are interested in the topic or not.

If anyone has any ideas for making this a better forum, please feel free to PM or email any of the moderators. Thanks again to everyone!!!

ANother vote for leaving it the way it is. Although, my DH says I need to quit looking here so much. I find ways to spend money to save money... LOL
:rotfl:

I agree that any saving that you do in your every day spending helps for Disney trips as it gives you more money for that..

If the topic isnt of interest than just skip it.. The headline generally says what the post is about so its easy to know if you want to read it or not..

I like the board the way it is. It is a way to save money on alot of things. Thanks everyone.

A budget is a budget. Money saved one way makes it available for something else....as in a trip to Disney World. If you strictly kept it to Disney related questions, it would be a pretty small board.....Is Ticketmania okay? Can I sneak 126 people into a room at the All Stars? My mug from 1976 is starting to crack; will they replace it for free at guest services? There are no more vouchers, but where can I find vouchers?

Think about it....all ways to save money, use bonus offers, gain travel related points all help with trip planning in the long run.

My3kids, I love your post - really made me laugh at those silly questions! :rotfl2:
I totally agree - all savings can go toward Disney (44 days)!

Another vote for keeping the board the way it is! We all learn so much, saving money anywhere is a help.

We do live beyond Disney!

Count me in as another that loves this board as is. It's like talking to your friends and sharing information with your friends on a bunch of different discounts, etc.

This board is a result of Disney's high prices, IMO. Therefore, it must continue to exist!

This board would continue to exist if Disney were free. We'd still need to pay for gas and airfare. There would still be people stretching a limited budget. People looking for cheap sunscreen and dollar store raingear.

Disney is cheaper per day than my local amusement park - better quality too.

A penny saved is a penny for Disney! Don't change this board Please! :flower:

Leave this board alone! What problem does the OP have with it - she is kinda vague about it. I would think that the more money saving tips we share, the money $$ we can put away for Disney. I don't know about everyone else, but when I am not planning a Disney trip, I am still putting away money for my next Disney trip and this is the first board I check every day. I love the money saving ideas and tips that I have gotten over the years. Where does it say that we can only discuss ideas that are directly connected to planning for a Disney trip?

Keep the board as is - I challenge the OP to say that she hasn't used some of the tips given here for things that are non-Disney!

Egads, I'd be so upset if this board was changed. This is the place I look even when I'm not going to Disney. I've learned dozens of ways to save money on everything from Broadway tickets to learning how to make money on EBay (and doing it). So it is all related it's ways to save money for Disney! Please dont' change it.
