Moderators: This board seems off topic!

::yes:: Yup, I like it as it is. Being in Canada, there are a lot of things that are area/US specific and I can't use, but I learn a lot! PLEASE leave it be, and for those not sure, hover over the OT posts and don't click if they don't apply. Heck, I don't have a trip planned right now, but this is the second board that I visit! Don't split, just sit! ::yes::

We don't plan another Disney trip for a while, but the other "goodies" I find here keep me coming to the board daily. I know there are probably other sites where I could find them, but the DISers are so great, I hope they'll stay here.

I agree that descriptive titles help the uninterested skip over non-Disney threads. I also tend to display the first line and read it before I decide whether to open the thread.

On the other hand, if two forums were an option, that would satisfy everyone I would think.

DON'T TOUCH IT! I like it just the way it is and have gotten lots of good tips from this board.

I just feel that there should be TWO boards - one non-planning Budget Board, and one trip-planning Budget board.
This would be my suggestion. I would hate to see the "non-disney" budget stuff be forced to the Community Board, it would get lost.

I agree--I have learned about a lot of budget sites here--which means more $$ for vacations whether disney or elsewhere.

I also agree, leave the board the way it is.

I ran a thread recently about being reformed, and thanks to my Budget Dis friends, I have succeded in saving for my upcoming trip in Cash. :cool1:

I just thought of the JCPenney thread as well and my $10.00 swimsuit for Disney!!!

I agree leave it as it is! I always come to this board to look for great deals. The other day I just printed out the coupon for Toys R Us.

one trip-planning Budget board.
IF that happened it would soon grow stagnant. It's like beating a dead horse. For resorts at WDW there are very few discounts;AP holders, AAA, postcards, packages, or FL residents. For passes again there are a very few discount places that are safe and reliable. For airfare again there are the airlines themselves and a few places like Priceline. :confused3 IF that's the only info people want to see then maybe all links to legitimate discount places could be placed in a sticky at the top of the board. What else is there that would pertain to a strictly WDW trip itself?

If it weren't for some of us Ebaying and saving money in other areas of our budget we couldn't afford to go to WDW in the first place! My vote is to leave the board as is and for those wanting to stay on topic simply read posts that only pertain to WDW items. It's not like this board moves superfast like the Community board so going back 1 page shouldn't take you much time at all.

::yes:: Thank you, CajunDixie - my sentiments exactly!

I've been here for a few years myself and it would be boring, dead, and repetitive with the same ole-same ole.

You can only talk about Disney-only budgeting only so much. I've been frugal for years and it's nice that people here give it new life, but yes...teaser titles annoy me, too. :p

Hey... and isn't this thread ironic? It's off-topic, too. lol

It is absolutely wonderful just the way it is!!! :earsgirl:

::yes:: As the old saying goes, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it.' As previous posters have said all the topics help us save for Disney. If you don't like a particular thread then just don't open it. It's that simple!! It's obvious that most of us like it the way it is.

It was this Budget Board that led me to my Disney Seat covers.

I'll vote to leave it just the way it is.

BTW, got the detergent and the Schick Quatto this week, thanks to all the OPs. :wave2:
