I am trying to pick a moderate that has short commute times to the parks but also an efficient checkin/out. I only have 2 days and dont want to spend it in checkin lines or on a long bus ride. I have done a 'search' but really havent come up with any answers. thanks for your help.

The moderates are pretty comparable to each other, in terms of average convenience and efficiency.

Coronado Springs is probably the most centrally located to all four theme parks. However you cannot guarantee that any of the moderates will have short check in lines. It depends on what time of day you are arriving and whether a large group has arrived before you. I have experienced long and short waits at all the mods at varying times of the day and year.

Coranado Springs is probably the best bet.

It is more centrally located then the other moderate restorts (for those of you who don't believe me, look at the property maps and commute times).

It also is used to handling conventions, which often check in at the same time.

That being said, if you happen to hit the same time as a massive convention check in, you may wait a bit.

I'll take the risk of a longer time to check in (if there happens to be one) to be more centrally located.

Port Orleans is just as conveniently located, since you can reach MK via Vista Blvd and Epcot via Epcot Center Drive. Coronado is more convenient to Animal Kingdom and Disney MGM Studios (but just by a hair).

CSR is centrally located to all of the parks and Blizzard Beach. MK is the longest ride at 12 minutes. When I checked in this past April, I was second in line. Very quick

I think CSR is great b/c of location as well as we love this resort. And our commute times to and from the parks have always been great but CSR has a great bus system.
With that being said, you cant go wrong with any of the moderates-the times you wait for checkin, and buses will depend on the time of year, time of day, and which park youb are headed to. You can only predict so much.

We visited all of the resorts last week, and it seemed as if travel time for all of the moderates was pretty well even. Choose the one you like the best.

Another vote for CSR. Our check in time was not very long, but I have been by the lobby when the line was longer. They do try to keep it moving along though. As for check out, I think all resorts offer express check out. if you provided them with a credit card when you checked in, you can just leave without checking out at the front desk. As long as it is before 11am.

The transportation was great. We never waited long for a bus, and the ride to the parks (any of them) was pretty quick. 15 minutes at the most.

Not when you factor in the shared buses. CSR does not share buses so it makes less stops

UG shows the overall average commute times at CSR as being the best by a wide margin for the moderates.

That being said, I have not timed all of the moderate commute times, and UG was the only source I could find.

If you have your own vehicle, it really won't matter as much.
