Moderates and balconies?

Do any of the moderate hotels have balconies?

For me, that's one of the major selling points of a Deluxe room. I was almost convinced to try Coronado Springs, but then I realized there were no balconies there and I reconsidered. A balcony is like having an extra room and easily worth a few extra bucks.

Sorry, no, they are all built "motel style" with the door and window next to each other and looking out onto the walkway, and the rear wall abutting the rear wall of the unit behind it.

To add balconies would require changing the entry from exterior to interior, and that would change from motel to hotel, thus bumping the resort into a "deluxe" category using WDW's "system".

The last time we were there we stayed at the CBR and I noticed a few people our neighbors for one would bring chairs out and sit in the area outside their door thus creating a balcony for themselves. Of course people will be walking by you all the time but I guess if you don't mind it. They were out every night when we came back having a drink. They were not the only ones we saw doing it but it is certainly in the minority.

When we stayed at CBR we had a little bump out area in the walkway outside our door. There were some plastic chairs sitting further down outside our DS's room so I dragged one down and sat out there. Not one person walked by me the whole week. LoL I feel fenced in when I can't get outside so now we only stay in the deluxe resorts. I do wish they'd make a moderate with some sort of balcony even if it is standing room only or a window that could open. Sure would be nice.

At CBR we were in the Trinidad South area and there was a court yard type area near building 37 that had tables with umbrellas and chairs.
