Hi folks,

We're planning a last minute trip to WDW for one day/night and are looking to spend all of our time at MK. What moderate resort do you think has the shortest bus transportation time to MK?

Thanks so much!

Distance-wise, probably POR/POFQ. However, at certain times of the day they share buses meaning more stops to load/unload, so that may negate any advantage over another moderate such as CSR which does not share buses. I think I would choose a moderate resort based upon price and the theme that most appeals to me- the difference in travel time to/from MK by bus is likely to be insignificant.

We stayed at POFQ and POR once each, Swan, Dolphin, Boardwalk many times and all the Values. In our experience POR/POFQ had the most frustrating bus service of all we experienced and we'll avoid staying there for that reason alone.

Wow, PSUguy (I'm a Penn Stater, too!), what was so frustrating about the bus service at POr/POFQ? That's where I was leaning!

In all honesty pick which resort appeals to you the most, and go with it. Bus service can vary greatly day to day, and even be great one hour and bad the next.

I would suggest though not booking at CBR as it has 7 bus stops within the resort. To me it seemed like it took forever to make the stops and head out to the parks.

They point out, that while the distance is not the shortest . . . the AS Resorts are good bets for bus service since there's so much volume to/from one location (unlike CarBch and CorSprgs that circle).
.
While during the middle of the day, they may have one bus serve all 3 AS Resorts, at peak times in the AM and 4pm - closing they will have direct bus service between each ASResort and the parks, DwnDis and even the TTC.
.
Again, the UnOfficial Guide and TouringPlans.com earns their keep with these answers. And yes, bus service is often faster than driving to the TTC and then doing the transfer thing.
