Just wondering - which moderate resort do you prefer? Will be picking one for a 3-night pre 7-day cruise in March '07 and can't decide which one to do with - any recommendations?

Without a doubt, CBR! It will get you in the carribbean spirit for your cruise! Aren't cruises addictive.

Have fun!

Hoosier_mom - yes the cruise was definately addictive! It was awesome! Especially for those of us who have never done Disney before either:)

My family and I absolutely LOVE CSR. It is awesome! Check out Buzz's thread on Resorts he has everything you want to know or see for that matter! Have a great trip!

I've seen all the moderates, but only stayed at CBR.
CBR gets my vote!!

Not sure if you are doing the dining plan or not, but I think for 2007, CSR food court is not included in the dining plan.

is the dining plan really worth it? Again - this is our first visit to WDW, so I really don't know the best way to go about this... :confused3

In The Moderates We Have Stayed In Csr And Pofq. We Loved Them Both. We Want To Try All Of Them Out. We Stayed Off Disney As Well Before But Did Not Like It At All. This Year We Are Staying At The Polynesian And Going On A Cruise. We Have Never Done A Cruise But We Are Taking Dd10 And Ds9 In December. I Think You Are Safe With Any Disney Resort. Have A Great Time!

We did the 7-day Western this past March and are following up our 3-night WDW in March 2007 with a 7-day Eastern - the cruise was awesome! :cool1:

There's some discussion on this on other threads. What I did was read all the menus on allearsnet.com and decide what I wanted to eat. After adding up what I wanted, it was considerably more than $38 per day. Same for my husband. Plus the fact that it will allow us the option of eating at some table service restaurants that we would not have been able to afford. I cannot wait to order some steak! We don't do steaks at home because we're on a chicken budget! (we're a 1 income family).

We've only ever stayed at one moderate resort - Caribbean Beach Resort and we loved it. We stayed there twice. Next time we go, I want to stay at a different moderate. My dh's family really hates to try new things when it comes to this, but I want to try all the moderate resorts!

As for the dining, we have only gotten the dining plan when it is offered as free dining. And then it is worth it (it's free. lol). We are staying at Pop this trip because we had decided not to take a trip this year (money's tight) but when they offered the free dining plan again this year, I caved and told dh yes - as long as we stay cheap.
