Personal opinion leads me to CBR. The size of the resort is great. You do not feel like you are on top of everyone. The walk across the bay and the music and theming are excellent. My wife and I love sitting on the beach on the hammocks and watching the EPCOT fireworks. Just my $.02

We stayed at the Poly last month for our anniversary and DD's 13th birthday. Our first day there we received a card from Pocahontas & John Smith wishing us a Happy Anniversary (DD got nothing for her birthday ). It was very cute and gave us a giggle. Since we were wearing our anniversary pins a CM at Captain Cooks gave us free cupcakes (and DD got included in this one!).

There were also several gestures from CM's in the parks (wear your pins!!). Made our trip very special

When we reserved our trip they asked if we were celebrating any special occassions (more special than a trip to WDW?? Really??? ) and we were given the pin at check-in. You can also just ask for them. They have them at the ready!!

We got lots of smiles and friendly "Happy Anniversary" greetings from cast members who went out of their way to make us feel special. And, we got a "Magical Moment" certificate from the characters at Crystal Palace with some table decorations and a cupcake with a candle on it. We also got a free yummy dessert at the California Grill. Make sure they note your special occasion on your reservation.

If I had to chose a moderate, it would be POFQ for romance. But I agree that for a little bit more I would rather be at the Swan. But then, I find the nearby boardwalk area to be VERY romantic.

We've been to WDW for two anniversaries now, and the only thing we got was the front desk lady at POP put us in a King bedroom instead of the doubles. We definitely didn't get that at POFQ..though they offered to sell us that upgrade We did wear anniversay pins, and got the occasional "Happy Anniversary!" but nothing else.

Just be very cautious about expecting anything. They truly are few and far between. Too many people read about the occasional pixie dust that happens to other, and then come back upset (and some angry!) that nothing happened for them (on another board, I read about someone who was angry for wasting her money on a pin when she got nothing for it I love my pin!). Pretend like nothing will happen, and then be happy and surprised when it does.

My wife and I have stayed at all three mods and I think that CSR and POFQ are the most romantic. Walking around the water features of these resorts at night is very romantic. POFQ is also a very pleasant boat ride from DTD where there are several night time activities.

Very special occassions you can arrange special desserts for just about any sit down restaurant by calling at least 48 hours in advance and of course paying a little or alot extra.

I have stayed at POR and BCSR and will be staying at CBR in August. CSR was pretty and was definately quieter than POR but it also depends on the time of year, etc. I think CBR may be the winner but I will not know until Aug. Sorry!
