I just have to share - my 10 yr old DD was visiting her aunts/cousins last friday. They were having their Easter dinner that afternoon. I have just pieced together through different conversations what exactly she ate that day:

breakfast - actually I didn't ask after hearing the rest :)

early lunch - McDonalds happy meal

Easter dinner - the usual large holiday meal

snack on way home - Taco Bell

Can you belive that?? Jeesh - i'm glad she views that as a treat on a special day and not the norm!!!

Way to go WISHers for modeling positive eating habits to our children!!!!!

You are serving as an excellent role model for your daughter, sweetie! I think that's great :)

This is a very good reminder to us all! Not only to eat healthy and show our kids the way to good health. But also be very aware of what we say to our kids as we loose weight. I will never say to my kids I am loosing weight because I want to "look good", (nor do I say it within hearing range-LOL!)! Rather everytime it comes up, I say that I am watching what I am eating because I want to be healthy! That is very true and one message I want to send to my kids!
