Hi - My daughter's Sweet 16 party is in a few weeks. We are having it in the backyard & want to make a bunch of virgin pina coladas & strawberry daiquiris ahead of time. Any thoughts on how to do this? We are having about 60 kids so the most time saving & economical way the better! I wanted to get the pre-made buckets & add water, but the company said they would not taste good.

Thanks for your help!

Wouldn't you just make a bunch of coladas and daiquiris based on the recipe (sans alcohol), and keep them in pitchers? :confused3

You could use juice instead of water, but the buckets would also freeze solid. The alcohol is what keeps them slushy.

You could get them started and pre-frozen, then make a punch from it:

Thank you that's exactly right. With all the backing and other stuff I need to do I had really hoped to make the frozen cocktails the night before. I don't have big enough blenders to have several large blenders going at once and the kids will be standing around so I was hoping to have big batches made ahead of time and stuff them in all my neighbors freezers until I needed them and then scoop them out with like ice cream scooper to put in the cups. That's not like there's only 16 kids there's like 60 kids.

Maybe someone out there has already done something like this and can guide me or give me some helpful hints. thanks!
