Moby or Maya Wrap Sling (?)

I nursed in the maya wrap and it wasn't too tough. Off all the slings I think it's the easiest to nurse in with a small baby. You can tighten them to hold them in the right place. The one problem with a ring sling is that it does have a learning curve. I was able to figure it out and now am pretty good at it.

I also nursed in the mei tai while we were at Disney Land when ds was about 7 mos. It wasn't too difficult either but not as easy as the ring sling. You just have to figure out how to get them nursing while they are in the upright position, which my ds was not used to.

I much prefer to find a seat and nurse while sitting down but when we were out shopping or something and ds was very fussy and wanted to eat I put him in the maya and nursed him no problem.

A ring sling is like a hotsling, right??? I can't get the terminology right to save my life.

Nope, ring sling is not a hotsling. A ring sling has the ring at the shoulder. It's very adjustable. There are both padded and unpadded ring slings. I much prefer the unpadded. Both of mine are unpadded. Ring slings - maya wrap, pretty momma slings, etc.

A hotsling is a pouch. Pouches are not adjustable. They are basically like one long tube of material. I have a hotsling and really like but I much prefer my ring sling b/c it's more adjustable.
