Mobile UI frustration and farewell ;-(

I do everything via mobile, and I have to say that coming from the iOS app, the new web interface leaves much to be desired. So much so, that I've stopped using disboards since the change.

This is just an example, but did you realize that on an iPhone 6+ the top 75% of the screen is covered with ads until I scroll?

I'll check back occasionally hoping for improvements, but for the most part, you've lost me ;-(

But then you scroll and they're not there? I literally just 20 minutes ago checked out the mobile interface on iPhone 6+ for the first time and I actually like it. Much better than that awful app that felt like I was back on my iPhone 3s. Too each his own I guess. I for one will be visiting the boards more on my iPhone. Hope you can return soon!

Yeah... like I said, I'll keep trying it. But (1) I really miss knowing "at a glance" which of my favorited forums and threads have new messages, etc... without having to scroll past 75% of the opening screen because it's filled with ads, and then click a link on a menu and have tons of other page space dedicated to more adds lower down on the page.

I wouldn't mind seeing the ads so much if they just took up less space. Do they really have to be that big and take up the entire width? I appreciate that the ads pay for the site, but the way they're integrated really interferes with the user experience, and da exceeds the norm for web. When so log in, I want to see (without touching or scrolling) useful "status" regarding new and/or important posts to me.

Maybe I just haven't given it enough of a chance yet. Clearly some people like the UI... maybe there's a way to make an alert appear on the main page when a thread or forum I care about has a post.

But reducing the amount of space dedicated to dis branding and/or ads at the top of the opening page would make a big difference.
