Mobile Ordering/Using DDP Entitlements

I'm wondering if it's possible to use DDP meal entitlements when mobile ordering? I know I was able to order my family's lunch ahead of time at BOG and I know we were able to use DDP credits back in 2017. However, I'm thinking we placed our meal order a couple of weeks in advance for that QS at BOG, so I'm thinking this is different than the mobile ordering at other QS places?

We haven't been in the parks since then, so I'm not exactly sure how this works? I like the idea of mobile ordering, but since we will have the DDP, I want to make sure we are using our meal credits. I don't want to pay OOP using a credit card and then be stuck not using all of our DDP entitlements.

If it is possible to use the DDP when mobile ordering, is it pretty intuitive? I'm sure I could hand this off to either of my teen DSs to do, but I'm hoping I can figure it out! :tilt:

Yes, this is different than preordering for BoG, which you can still do, and you can use your DDP for mobile ordering at the other QS locations. I haven't done it, but do know that you won't see that as a payment option until you are actually at WDW and checked into your hotel. From what I've seen, it is pretty intuitive.
 
When you go through the mobile ordering process which is on the app, not the website, it will show you at the end how many credits you are using before you hit pay. The system goes right to use your dining plan so no worries about mistakenly paying without using your plan.

One other silly question...how do you pick up your food? In other words, how do you know when it's ready and where do you go? Do you have the appearance of "cutting" in line when you mobile order?

You can mobile order anywhere in the park, has to be the same day, but you don't have to go to the restaurant first. Once you make it to the restaurant and are ready to eat, there is a button on the app that says something like I'm here, prepare my order. Press that and it will tell you when your order is ready. There is a separate mobile order pickup window so there is no worries about cutting.

At that point are you able to choose to not use credits if you have them available but prefer to pay OOP?
 
I have question:
Can you mix DDP and OOP? For instance, someone wants a dessert. Can we use DDP for our meals an pay OOP for the dessert in the same order?
