So, a quick question on mobile ordering. My friend and I will be splitting up to different parks one day of our upcoming trip. We both have individual accounts on the Disney app. My card is tied to the hotel reservation. Is she able to mobile order on her account without it charging my card? I would THINK so since the cards are on the Disney app accounts and that is where you order. but I also don't trust it.

You should be fine. Mobile Orders cannot use magicband for payment.

Mobile Order is pulling from the individual’s MDE account. Your friend will need to set up payment method to create an order.

Mobile Order is not connected to the room credit card on file, which for example could be linked to all the magicbands staying in that room (but can also be set to just certain individual(s) in that room).

👆Exactly! DH has his own MDE account but the room and magic bands are almost always under my account. They charge to my credit card. I have a different cc set up on MDE for mobile ordering.

He couldn’t mobile order off his account because he hadn’t set up a payment method. Fixed that after an annoying attempt, his phone with us, no credit card, no mobile order!

You guys should be fine!

Mobile order is tied to your MDE account so if the other person is not logged into your account there is no way to use your credit card.
All purchases made using a magic band require a pin which you can change from your MDE account or when you checkin both on line or in person as well as the front desk can assist you in changing the pin. If the other person does not know your pin they can not charge to the room. There is also the ability to add or delete who has charging privileges on the room holders account. You have 2 fail safes.
Look at your charges on the MDE account in case they were not set correctly.
I would assume the person will have a magic band on your account or will need a room card for hotel access.

Even though payment is tied to MDE, your friend should add his/her own CC so anything she charges from her MB go to the correct card.

OP, if you go this route of adding their cc to the room for their charges check your account that first day to make sure charges are going to the right person. Once in awhile the front desk doesn’t get it right.

As said, mobile orders don't charge to the room so no issue there (unless you have the DDP and you want to make sure you aren't dipping into each other's credits lol).

But definitely go the front desk when you get there and have them set her up with her own charging account. We have traveled with my brother in the same room multiple times and they have always done this for us with no issues.

I love mobile ordering!!! One of the best parts besides a shorter wait time for food is the fact that you can enter a Disney Gift Card as a form of payment when mobile ordering, if you don't want to use a credit card.
